Rock star’s son plays tambourine in band who are set to support his dad’s group – but can you guess who the nepo baby is?

His parents are famous singers who rose to prominence during the indie and rock music boom of the 2000s.

And now this nepo baby is trying to forge a career on stage with his band Another Day.

On Wednesday, the 22-year-old performer took to the stage at London’s 100 Club. He played the tambourine and recited two poems, then invited his well-known mother to join him onstage.

Oh my gosh, his dad was HUGE! I mean, a total rock god! I grew up listening to songs like ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ and ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’ – they were constantly on repeat. Seriously, those songs just defined an era, and his dad was the one who made it all happen. I still get chills thinking about it!

Despite his family connections, the performer struggled to engage the audience during his recent small concert when he recited his poem, “Sunshine In Her Eyes.”

He stood at the microphone and read: ‘Wouldn’t it be lovely if the sun were shining? It truly would be a treat! It’s not a mistake, it’s perfect. Don’t tell me otherwise. But it would be wonderful if the campfire kept burning.’ Can you guess who‘s speaking?

It’s Pete Doherty’s son, Astile.

I’ve been following this artist for a while now, and it’s amazing to learn more about his background! He’s actually the son of Lisa Moorish, who’s a fantastic artist herself and known for her work with Kill City, and Pete Doherty, the frontman of The Libertines. It really explains so much about his creative talent!

Another Day will support Pete’s band Babyshambles next month in Nottingham and Middlesbrough.

Astile is Pete’s oldest child. Pete and Lisa first met in 2002 while Pete’s band, The Libertines, was touring. Lisa was a singer with the band Kill City, and they had a son together the next year.

The singer used to be prohibited from spending time with his son due to his struggles with drugs. However, after completing rehab and getting sober, he’s become a very involved and present father.

In 2009, Lisa explained to Metro that Peter’s recovery wasn’t always smooth, making the decision they faced particularly challenging.

I felt like the timing was right when he finished rehab last year and began to rebuild his life. I want Astile to have a father.

Pete stated that once he felt in control of his own life, he would start taking care of Astile, whom he affectionately called ‘the little fella’.

The musician has a daughter named Aisling with model Lindi Hingston. Hingston announced Aisling’s birth in 2012, a year after she was born.

A week after Linda told him, Pete confirmed he was the father. He explained the baby girl had been born two months early, and that he’d promised to be present for the delivery, saying, ‘She’s my daughter.’

Pete is married to his bandmate, Katia De Vidas, and they have a daughter named Billie-May, who was born in May 2023.

Katia and Astile seem to be on good terms, as she promoted his music event on her Instagram.

Meanwhile, Lisa is also mother to daughter Molly, 27, whom she shares with Liam Gallagher.
