Rock Legend John Sykes Dead at 65 After Cancer Battle
Ex-Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake guitarist John Sykes has died at the age of 65.
A well-known rock musician lost his life following a struggle against cancer. His demise was announced through posts on his various social media platforms.
We regretfully announce the passing of John Sykes, who lost his valiant struggle against cancer.
‘Many will recall him as an extraordinarily gifted musician, while to those who didn’t interact with him directly, he was a considerate, compassionate, and captivating individual whose spirit illuminated any space.’
‘He certainly marched to the beat of his own drum and always pulled for the underdog.
Toward the end of his life, he expressed heartfelt affection and appreciation for the fans who remained loyal to him throughout the years.
Though his departure has left a deep imprint and cast a pall over us all, I fervently believe that the brilliance of his spirit will outshine the void he’s left behind.
John had a stint with Thin Lizzy on their 1983 top-five album “Thunder and Lightning.” Later, he moved on to Whitesnake where he contributed to two albums, starting with the 1984 release “Slide It In.
