Rochelle Humes shows off the huge house she’s building with her husband Marvin as she teases it will FINALLY be finished next year – three years after purchasing the property

I’m so excited! Rochelle Humes just shared that her and Marvin’s dream home, the one they’ve been working on for three years now since buying the property, might finally be finished next year. I’ve been following their renovation journey and can’t wait to see the finished result!

In June 2023, the couple announced they were constructing their dream home after leaving their family house in north London, which was worth £3.3 million.

Rochelle hasn’t posted much about the house lately, but she recently shared a quick update on Instagram Stories after one last visit for the year.

Rochelle pointed out that the house was still largely unfinished – it still needed windows and a front door – but the interior rooms, like the bathroom, were beginning to come together.

I’m so excited to share a peek into how I brought my dream home to life! I teamed up with the incredibly talented architectural designer, Sal O’Connor, to make it happen. It was amazing working with a professional to create exactly what I’d always envisioned.

The celebrity shared that her house is expected to be finished in 2026. She mentioned that all the windows will be installed within the next two weeks, and things will progress significantly in the new year.

Earlier this year, Rochelle showed followers that the house was still under major construction, sharing a photo of the unfinished building with just bricks and scaffolding visible.

In 2023, the couple announced they were constructing a permanent home after leaving their family house in north London, which was worth £3.3 million.

Rochelle announced the news on Instagram, saying it came as a complete surprise, but she was thrilled.

The TV presenter shared that the couple got an unexpected offer on their home, which led them to find a piece of land in a place they’d always dreamed of living.

Okay, so I’m being totally honest – this whole situation feels a little wild! We’ve decided to rent for the next two years. My husband, Marvin, and I are kind of embracing a free-spirited lifestyle, so we’re jokingly calling ourselves ‘gypsies at heart’ – it’s all about adventure right now!

She explained they were moving, and seemed surprised herself. “It’s a big change,” she said, “I’m moving in every way possible!”

Okay, so things are moving quickly with the house! We actually received an offer, which is a little unexpected, to be honest. It’s definitely been a whirlwind!

It was a complete surprise, but we discovered the perfect location – a place we’ve always dreamed of.

She shared that she and Marvin were building their own home and getting ideas from the TV show Grand Designs.

Rochelle continued: ‘So we’re going to build a house. I’ve never built a house before.

I’m really excited that we’re renting for the next year and a half to two years – likely closer to two – while we save to build our dream home.

We really enjoy moving to new places – it’s actually become a hobby! I’m not sure what exactly draws us to it, but we definitely have a restless, adventurous spirit and love starting fresh.

Rochelle shared that their new home is located close to where they used to live, noting that it’s in the same general neighborhood.

It’s good the children can continue at the same school. We’ve decided this is where we’ll stay long-term.

This is the first time we’ve done this, and I’m really thrilled about it. That’s the house taken care of. Plus, I’m also in the process of moving my office.

It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re officially getting the keys to the property at the end of this week, and everything will finally be finished. We’re excited to start a new chapter!
