As someone who has dabbled in dance myself (and let me tell you, my Cha Cha is more like a chaotic shuffle), I can empathize with Rochelle’s feelings about the dance floor. It takes courage and grace to step out there and give it your all, especially under the watchful eye of the judges. But fear not, Rochelle! Your charm and charisma are what truly shine, and they’ll carry you through any challenge.

Rochelle Humes has admitted she was in a ‘bad way’ after taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.

Back in 2013, during the Christmas special of the BBC program where she serves as a presenter, aged 35 at that time, she danced on its dancefloor. Her partner for this event was professional dancer, Ian Waite.

On the contrary, numerous stars seem to enjoy their stint on the show, but reminiscing about her own experience, Rochelle expresses a sense of unease, even going as far as saying she would not participate again in such an event.

In an interview with Closer magazine, the ex-member of The Saturdays confessed that she felt more anxious than ever before, finding it hard to grasp why individuals would participate in an entire series.

She explained: ‘I basically got dragged around the dance floor by the lovely Ian Waite, and I was the most nervous I could be. I was in a bad way.

‘I don’t know how anybody does that, week in, week out. I could never… and the respect that I have for the people that do Strictly, it’s just beyond!’

It appeared that Richelle faced challenges not just with her nerves, but also with her dance steps, which led Bruno Tonioli to compare her performance to that of an intoxicated aunt.

During their conversation on Loose Women in September, along with her husband Marvin Humes, the star mentioned that she remembered an insult directed at her, which was brought up while discussing friend JB Gill’s experience on Strictly Come Dancing.

When asked if they might be interested, Marvin promptly pointed out that Rochelle had previously participated in the Christmas special. However, Rochelle seemed eager to minimize the negative impact of her less-than-ideal holiday performance.

She argued: “It’s inappropriate for you to claim I did it, as it disrespects those who actually did. I produced a Christmas special quite some time ago, considering that our eldest daughter Alaia is now 11 years old, and it was not long after I had her.

As a devoted admirer, I recall an instance when Bruno, serving as a judge, made a remark that I resembled the tipsy aunt at a Christmas gathering, over-indulged with sherry. To put it mildly, I’ve found myself reliving that moment through my fingers while revisiting the recording.

When inquired about potentially participating in an entire series similar to what Matt Goss experienced during the holiday special, she swiftly dismissed the notion.

The My Little Coco founder exclaimed: ‘No. I honestly think anyone that does it is so brave.

If someone mentions dancing the Cha Cha, it’s more like a gag reflex for me. Therefore, J, whatever action you take that is opposite to mine will surely impress.

Rochelle and Ian scored a respectable 31 points out of 40 for their salsa, but unfortunately ended up in last place. The show was won by Rufus Hound and Flavia Cacace.

Rochelle spoke up following the announcement that she and Vernon Kay would serve as hosts for this year’s Children In Need event.

They’ll be teaming up with Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, Chris Ramsay, and Lenny Rush to guide us through an entertaining and charitable event filled with celebrities.

In light of the thrilling update, Rochelle expressed: “There’s no event that unites the UK as much as BBC Children in Need, and I’m overjoyed to be returning to the studio this year.

I am consistently amazed by the generosity and warmth of the night, and this noble cause holds a special place in my heart.

Without a doubt, the evening promises an abundance of laughter, emotions, unexpected moments, and a mountain of motivation for everyone involved.

Vernon added: ‘I’m truly honoured to be a presenter for BBC Children in Need this year, supporting such an incredible cause.

Speaking of which, running from Leicester to Bolton last year was a grueling experience, ranking among the most challenging feats I’ve encountered. However, I am delighted to participate with you today from the comfortable surroundings of MediaCity!

It’s truly heartwarming to be associated with Children in Need this year. This extraordinary charity transforms lives in the most inspiring manners, and I feel an immense sense of pride being a part of such a remarkable event!

On this special evening, notable celebrities from the UK will entertain you with a variety of captivating skits, live music performances, breathtaking acts, and numerous unexpected moments, all skillfully orchestrated by our talented hosts.
