Nacon and developer Teyon have revealed that the standalone expansion titled “RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business” will be making its debut in July. To celebrate this event, they’ve unveiled a fresh story trailer.
Title Unfinished Business introduces the reappearance of Alex Murphy, who has successfully quelled the violent gangs in Old Detroit and the newcomer. Regrettably, tranquility in the city is fleeting, and RoboCop is compelled to return to duty once more, as crime erupts anew on the streets.
In a sea of turmoil, OCP’s latest OmniTower initiative offers a glimmer of promise, providing a colossal residential complex that enhances the lives of Detroit’s long-time residents. However, this beacon of hope is jeopardized when a group of skilled and heavily armed mercenaries seize control over the OmniTower, leading to an exhilarating battle all the way to the summit.
It seems somewhat reminiscent of The Raid or Judge Dredd, and that’s perfectly alright. After scaling the OmniTower, you’ll encounter the enigmatic commander of the mercs, a figure who appears to have ties to RoboCop’s history.
As a diehard fan, I’m pumped about Unfinished Business, because it’s bringing in fresh gear like the Cryo Cannon, beefing up the enemy roster with katana-wielding androids, and introducing new finisher moves to keep gameplay exciting. Plus, there are flashback sequences where I get to play as the tragic cop, Murphy, before he transformed into RoboCop. The light RPG elements make a comeback, and Peter Weller lends his voice once again to bring both Murphy and RoboCop to life!
