Robert Pattinson’s horror remake gets exciting update

As a gamer and movie buff, I’m always on the lookout for exciting new projects, especially those involving my favorite actors like Robert Pattinson. The news of the “Possession” remake finding a home at Paramount Pictures is definitely something to get hyped about! I’ve got fond memories of watching the original 1981 cult classic, and I can only imagine what Parker Finn will bring to the table as writer, director, and producer. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Pattinson might also star in this one.

Robert Pattinson’s Possession remake has received an exciting update.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has secured the rights to produce a remake of the iconic 1981 horror film after a fierce competition among major Hollywood studios, such as Warner Bros and Sony.

Film director Parker Finn is slated to pen the script, helm the project, and serve as producer for the film under his Bad Feeling production banner. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson will produce in collaboration with Icki Eneo Arlo, his own production company, as well as Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee. At this point, it remains undecided whether or not Pattinson will appear on screen in the production.

In the film “Possession,” the main character is Mark, portrayed by Sam Neill, who is an international spy. After completing a mission, he comes home only to discover that his spouse, Anna, played by Isabella Adjani, intends to file for divorce.

After a string of heated arguments between Anna and Mark, leading him to employ a private detective to trail her, his fears of infidelity evolved into something far darker and more ominous.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got some disappointing news for fellow fans of Robert Pattinson. The much-anticipated release of his new sci-fi project, “Mickey 17,” has been pushed back from this year to 2025. This means we’ll have to wait a little longer than initially planned to witness his latest acting venture in the realm of science fiction.

Under the guidance of acclaimed Oscar-winner Bong Joon-ho, the film “Micky 17” focuses on a disposable worker who embarks on a mission to settle a perilous icy planet.

In the synopsis, it states that the crew relies on Mickey7 for dangerous missions that are nearly suicidal. After each mission results in Mickey7’s demise, a new body is generated with most of his previous memories. Following six deaths, Mickey7 comes to terms with the conditions of his role and realizes why this position remained vacant when he assumed it.

Matt Reeves’ “The Batman 2,” the upcoming sequel to “The Batman” with Robert Pattinson starring as the titular character, has been pushed back to a 2026 release date.
