Robert Pattinson set for major Dune 3 role – but who will he play?
Robert Pattinson is reportedly being eyed for a role in Dune 3, aka Dune: Messiah.
The last part of Denis Villeneuve’s three-movie series, inspired by Frank Herbert’s writings, is now being prepared for production. Reports indicate that the director and screenwriter are finalizing the script at this time.
In the concluding movie, we’re looking forward to seeing Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, and Zendaya reprise their roles. But, there will also be fresh faces joining the franchise as new characters are brought into the storyline.

As reported by Deadline, there’s a significant level of enthusiasm about Robert Pattinson potentially joining the cast, but as of now, no official proposal has been extended to him.
Deadline adds that Pattinson would play the villain role of Scytale.
Following the massive success of “Dune 2”, director Denis Villeneuve has returned to crafting the screenplay for the third movie. He expressed his eagerness to get back behind the camera, stating that he will do so sooner than one might expect, during an interview with Deadline in October.
Filming on the movie is expected to begin this summer.
Currently, Robert Pattinson is collaborating with Zendaya from Dune in the forthcoming Christopher Nolan film titled The Odyssey.
Or, more casually: Rob Pattinson and Zendaya are teaming up for an upcoming epic called The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan.
In addition to the stellar lineup, we have Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, and Lupita Nyong’o joining the crew as well.
The movie draws its inspiration from Homer’s eighth-century epic poem by the same title. In this adaptation, Matt Damon portrays Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, as he embarks on a voyage to return home and reconnect with his wife Penelope, following the ten-year Trojan War.
In the movie, it’s just Damon who has his character’s part set in stone so far. In February, photos surfaced showing him in a preliminary glimpse, all dressed up in authentic Ancient Greek attire, including a Corinthian helmet.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but feel the thrill of anticipation as I prepare to immerse myself in the grandeur of “The Odyssey” set to be unveiled on the colossal screens of IMAX. Mark your calendars for July 17, 2026, when this epic tale will unfold, transporting me and fellow enthusiasts into a world of mythology and adventure.
The Odyssey is scheduled to be released in cinemas on July 17, 2026.
