Robert Irwin reveals touching tribute to sister Bindi and niece Grace on Dancing With The Stars

Robert Irwin is keeping it in the family on Dancing With The Stars US.

Twenty-one-year-old wildlife advocate shared a short video on Instagram Tuesday showing his young niece, Grace, practicing a dance routine as part of his rehearsal preparations.

Bindi Irwin’s four-year-old daughter looked incredibly cute in a sparkly black dress while practicing her dance steps with Bindi’s brother, Robert, and his dance partner, Witney Carson.

‘I love when Grace stops by rehearsals and we can teach her some new dance moves,’ Robert wrote.

It’s wonderful being her uncle. It reminds me of watching my sister rehearse when she was on Dancing with the Stars – it feels like life has come full circle.

Being on television is a family affair for the Irwins, as Bindi competed on the US version of Dancing With The Stars in 2015.

Bindi took out top honours on the dancing competition when she was just 17 years old.

This announcement follows Bindi’s hint that she might return to Dancing With The Stars, a decade after winning the show’s coveted Mirrorball trophy.

On Friday, the conservationist and her brother shared a quick video on Instagram showing Bindi practicing in the studio.

With Sexxy Red’s “She’s Back” playing in the background, Bindi confidently walked towards the camera with a playful smile.

Then, unexpectedly, Brother Robert and his partner Witney Carson appeared and joined Bindi in the dance.

‘We’ve recruited a new member of #TeamIrWINit,’ Robert captioned the clip.

Fans excitedly commented on the post, thrilled to hear Bindi was coming back to the show on ABC and Disney+.

However, Bindi kept them guessing, claiming she was only at rehearsals for a visit.

‘So wonderful to visit you guys for rehearsals,’ she wrote.

‘Your dance this week is going to be so incredibly special. Can’t wait to cheer for you both.’

Despite everything, people were thrilled at the possibility of a brother and sister competing together on Dancing with the Stars.

One fan commented to @bindisueirwin, saying everyone would love to see her dance with the contestants, suggesting that as an alumna, she might even be required to!

Another chimed in with: ‘Okay great I’m ready to sob next week.’

One person perfectly captured the excitement, exclaiming, ‘YESSSSSSS! I’ll be shocked if they don’t get perfect scores this week – this is going to be amazing!’

Deadline reported this week that several past winners of Mirrorball are expected to return for the relay round in the next episode.
