Robert Irwin reveals his career plans on the cusp of I’m A Celebrity premiere

Robert Irwin has revealed his future career plans as his star continues to rise.

The past year has been incredible for 22-year-old Robert, who won the US edition of Dancing With The Stars and is now starring in the new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which starts on Sunday.

Robert continues to work at Australia Zoo, the conservation park founded by his family in Queensland, and is dedicated to continuing the important conservation work started by his father, Steve.

However, as global stardom continues to beckon, juggling commitments is an increasing problem.

Robert shared with West Australian Play magazine that he’s balancing his work with animals and his obligations to the media.

Robert explained that he’s looking for projects that effectively combine conservation efforts with broader public engagement.

Robert explained that he was raised watching his father, Steve, and mother, Terri, share their wildlife conservation efforts in documentaries, and he always expected to carry on that tradition.

He explained that nowadays, with so many options like social media, streaming services, and traditional television, there are countless ways to reach an audience.

Robert shared his parents’ passion for wildlife documentaries, but he also wanted to explore other filmmaking opportunities.

Robert shared that he’s realized his passion is storytelling, specifically through wildlife documentaries. He’s completely dedicated to pursuing this path.

I’m definitely interested in hosting more events, and I’d really like to work on scripted television. Eventually, I’d love to be involved in both more TV series and films.

It seems that Robert’s Dancing With The Stars win has piqued the interest of producers in the US.

A source revealed to New Idea that American TV networks are very interested in signing the popular actor to a contract.

‘A lot of American shows approaching him are hovering around that figure,’ the insider said.

It comes after Robert had a heart-stopping incident with an alligator this week.

In a clip shared to Instagram, Robert can be seen happily stroking and hugging the reptile.

The alligator briefly snapped at Robert, but he didn’t seem bothered at all.

As a wildlife enthusiast, I was fascinated to learn from Robert that the alligator we were observing was a young male, and he estimated it could eventually grow to an impressive 12 to 14 feet long – that’s around 3.6 to 4.2 meters! It’s incredible to think about how much larger it will become.

Robert filmed the pulse-pounding moment during feeding time at Australia Zoo.

During the video, Robert was shown feeding a large alligator chunks of red meat while other alligators gathered nearby.

In another part of the clip, he could be seen lying on top of the alligator’s huge tail.

‘Absolutely armour-plated these guys are,’ he said admiringly as he stroked the reptile.

Robert shared on Instagram, ‘I always enjoy swimming with our alligators!’

Robert had a heartwarming get-together at Australia Zoo this week with Witney Carson, who he partnered with on Dancing With The Stars.

A heartwarming video on Instagram shows Robert, age 22, dancing with Witney, her husband Carson McAllister, and their two sons, Kevin Leo and Jet Carson. He walked into the shot holding both Witney and Carson’s hands.

Witney and Robert won the American version of Dancing With The Stars in November and were awarded the Mirrorball trophy.
