Robert Irwin moves fans to tears with his uncanny resemblance to dad Steve as he goes on a crocodile expedition in Queensland
As a lifestyle expert with over three decades of experience in the media industry, I’ve seen countless personalities rise to fame and leave lasting legacies. However, none have captivated the hearts of millions quite like the Irwin family, and particularly Robert Irwin.
Robert Irwin has moved people to tears with his resemblance to his late father, Steve Irwin.
20-year-old celebrity, who’s also the son of the late Crocodile Hunter, is at present embarking on a crocodile-tracing adventure in remote northern Queensland.
On his Instagram Stories, Irwin stated that we were out on a boat and searching for indications of crocodiles.
Following several unsuccessful attempts at recording myself while failing to ignite the boat engine, the host of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Outta Here conceded failure.
‘I’ll just cut to it already started so it looks like we got it the first go,’ he joked.
Boat started, Robert then shared his determined journey to find crocodiles.
The video, shared with the conservationist’s 6 million followers, struck a chord with fans.
The comment, which received numerous likes, said: “This video brought back memories of your father like never before!” Translated, it means: “It’s really neat to observe this.”
‘Just like your dad! I could watch and listen to him say “Alright” all day,’ said another.
Another individual expressed, ‘Indeed, these videos bring tears to my eyes. They are strikingly reminiscent of Steve in so many ways.’ I’m deeply appreciative that Robert shares similar qualities with him.
At the tender age of four, Robert made his debut in family documentaries, and at twelve, he secured a part in the SpongeBob SquarePants film.
He is widely considered to be the living continuation of The Crocodile Hunter’s legacy.
Steve Irwin, a globally renowned Australian figure over the last three decades, consistently leveraged his fame to nurture his deep-seated love for wildlife.
Robert stated to GQ Australia in December, upon receiving the Social Force of the Year Award, that the person who used to advocate for his message is no longer present. Now, it falls on him to carry on this task.
On platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where Robert boasts a total following of 11 million, he’s shown an innate talent for being in front of the camera, particularly when engaging with animals, demonstrating his genuine affection.
Since receiving a Gold Logie nomination this year and co-hosting his debut prime-time show during the 2024 season of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Australia alongside Julia Morris, his public profile has reached unprecedented levels.
A third person inquired, “Did you spot the blue butterfly?” This question alludes to a spiritual belief that deceased loved ones may appear as butterflies to offer guidance and support. In essence, they were saying, “Your father is here with you.”
Another devoted fan expressed, “Your mom should be incredibly proud. It brings a tear to my eye seeing how similar you are to your father.” They added, “The world truly misses him.”
It’s been mentioned that the reality TV show host is strongly tipped to secure the Gold Logie award at the 64th TV Week Logie Awards, scheduled for August 18.
