Robert Irwin makes the most of his time off as he enjoys family getaway with mother Terri and sister Bindi over Christmas before I’m A Celebrity duties kick off

Over the holiday season, Robert Irwin is seizing the opportunity to unwind, embarking on a scenic road trip along the coast for a memorable family getaway.
On Saturday, the young zookeeper shared a post on Instagram, offering a glimpse into their holiday celebrations with his mother Terri, aged 60, and sister Bindi, who is 26 years old.
Additionally, Bindi Irwin’s spouse, Chandler Powell (age 28), along with their three-year-old daughter, Grace Warrior, were also part of the family’s vacation to Byron Bay during the holiday season.
Robert appeared to be in good spirits as he enjoyed a beachside vacation just weeks before the new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia kicks off next month.
Instantly, Robert beamed a broad grin while snapping a selfie alongside his loved ones, as they discovered the beautiful vistas at the Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens – a serene and contemplative destination nestled within the picturesque Byron Bay countryside.
As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but share my own snapshot from within a breathtaking amethyst cavern nestled in the tranquil sanctuary. Not to mention, I captured another moment at the ‘Buddha Walk’, too!
As a devoted follower, I too ventured towards the majestic Cape Byron Lighthouse, and later, a captivating image unfolded – it was Robert, Chandler, and Grace strolling peacefully along a serene tree-lined pathway nestled in nature’s embrace.
A final photograph showed Robert looking every inch the doting uncle as he played with Grace down at the beach.
Robert is taking a well-deserved break with his loved ones, preparing for his upcoming role as co-host on I’m A Celebrity in the upcoming year.
For a second consecutive year, the conservationist will team up with Julia Morris as a co-host on Channel 10’s reality TV show.
Last year, his first appearance on the prime-time television show received overwhelmingly positive feedback from viewers, and now, he aims to maintain this acclaim as he reprises his role as the host for another season.
Recently, Robert hasn’t been hesitant to flaunt his festive season activities, despite knowing his busy work schedule is about to resume soon.
On Boxing Day, he got an incredibly surprising Christmas present that would make anyone leap off their feet when he posted a TikTok video of the unexpected situation.
In the video, Robert asked: ‘Can you hint that you reside in Australia without explicitly saying so?’
He then panned his phone around to reveal shoe rack lined with an array of footwear.
Robert called attention to the shoe rack, pointing out that a big snake was resting on its uppermost shelf where some shoes were placed.
As I casually glanced around, I noticed something unusual – a pair of boots that seemed all too familiar caught my keen eye. It appeared as if a sly character had taken an interest in them. With a friendly yet firm tone, I addressed the situation, saying, “Hey there! Seems like we’re on the same wavelength when it comes to footwear. However, those happen to be mine, so could you kindly step away?
The snake, which was a non-venomous carpet python, then began to coil its long body inside one of Robert’s boots, much to his amazement.
Robert mentioned he wasn’t sure about the plan where they were, but it seemed unlikely that you could fit in there, he said. However, his warning fell on deaf ears as you continued to push yourself deeper into his footwear.
I exclaimed, “Out of my shoe!” as I wasn’t quite sure how to remove the snake from my footwear.
Robert set his phone aside, then gently kneeled before the boot. With minimal exertion, he extracted the snake from where it apparently intended to reside.
Robert, curious, asked the intruder slinking on his shoe stand, “Why are you occupying my shoe shelf?” He was puzzled because the trespasser had no legs or feet!
The post was met with a flurry of comments from followers, with many suggesting that the snake could not have chosen a better house to wander into.
‘Well that little guy wandered into the best house possible,’ one fan wrote.
Another said: ‘He’s like I found Robert Irwin’s house and I’m staying. I will be well looked after.’
