I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Robert Duvall on February 16, 2026. He was a true icon, and I’ve been watching his incredible work for as long as I can remember. Movies like The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Apostle, and even To Kill a Mockingbird – he just made every film better. He’ll be deeply missed, but his films will live on forever.

Robert Duvall had an incredibly decorated career, winning an Oscar, four Golden Globes, two Emmys, a BAFTA, and numerous other awards. Like his part in Hustle, Duvall doesn’t have a huge role here, but it’s a significant one. He plays Jean Pepe, a specialist in the occult and an expert on the history of Satanism. He’s vital to solving the case and shares some compelling scenes with Christian Bale, creating a dynamic pairing.
