Robert Duvall, ‘The Godfather’ & Apocalypse Now Legend, Dies Aged 95

Robert Duvall, the celebrated actor known for memorable roles in films like The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Lonesome Dove, and Network, passed away last night at his home in Middleburg, Virginia. He was 95 years old.

Robert Duvall passed away, his wife Luciana announced. She shared that he died peacefully, with her at his side, though the cause of death hasn’t been disclosed.

Robert Duvall was a celebrated actor for over 70 years, starting in the late 1950s. He worked alongside many famous actors from different eras, appearing in more than 140 films and television shows. He acted consistently throughout his life, with his final role being in the 2022 film, The Pale Blue Eye, alongside Christian Bale. Duvall became one of Hollywood’s most admired performers, earning numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 1983 film, Tender Mercies.
