Seeing him make an entrance like Tony Stark was amazing, and then that playful face-off with Chris Evans? The internet totally exploded, with everyone picking sides all over again – it was a perfect moment!

Robert Downey Jr. made a Tony Stark-style entrance at CinemaCon 2026 while wearing a Doom shirt.

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans shared a playful moment on stage during Disney’s CinemaCon presentation. Marvel Studios posted a video of the interaction on X (formerly Twitter), with the caption, “This guy… Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans face off on the CinemaCon stage.”

At CinemaCon, Marvel Studios debuted the official trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans presented the trailer to theater owners, and Marvel announced the film will be released on December 18th with a post on X hinting at the villain, Doctor Doom.

Okay, so the trailer just dropped and it’s insane! It starts with Doctor Doom – Robert Downey Jr. looks amazing in the green hood and metal mask – getting ready to attack all the universes. Then, you see Professor X, played by Patrick Stewart, at the X-Mansion, and this huge flash of light means something bad is definitely happening. The coolest part? We get to see characters crossing over – Gambit and Shang-Chi fighting together, and even Thor going head-to-head with Doom! I’m so hyped!

During their fight, Doom surprisingly catches Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, without any protection. The trailer also features a heartwarming reunion as Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, returns and meets up with Thor. In a memorable scene, Rogers picks up Mjolnir once more, just like he did during the fight with Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

As a huge movie fan, I was really excited by the trailer! It looks like we’ll finally see the Fantastic Four team up with the New Avengers – a continuation of that little tease at the end of Thunderbolts. And get this – there’s a massive clash brewing between Wakanda and Talokan, which promises to be epic. But the most mind-blowing part? Mystique somehow transforms into Yelena Belova, meaning we’re in for a Florence Pugh versus… Florence Pugh fight! Seriously, how cool is that?

Joe and Anthony Russo are directing both the film Doomsday and the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars, which will wrap up the Multiverse Saga. Avengers 5 is scheduled to be released on December 18th, the same day as Dune: Part III.
