The follow-up film to “U.S. Marshals,” which Robert Downey Jr referred to as “the least impressive action movie ever made,” can currently be streamed for free within the United Kingdom.
1998 saw me diving into the thrilling world of “U.S Marshals.” As part of an elite team, I was tasked with tracking down a ruthless fugitive implicated in a brutal double-homicide.
In the movie, both Tommy Lee Jones and Wesley Snipes appeared alongside Robert Downey Jr. His character, John Royce, was a malevolent mole within the American police department.
The 1993 film “The Fugitive,” featuring Harrison Ford, has a follow-up titled “U.S. Marshals” that can now be streamed for free on ITV’s streaming platform, ITVX.

In Ben Falk’s biography of Downey Jr, titled “The Fall and Rise of the Comeback Kid,” the Marvel Cinematic Universe star expressed that he’d prefer to spend a day in jail for a TB test over another day on the set of “U.S. Marshals.” (Source: Far Out)
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but voice my thoughts that the action movie in question might just be the lowest point in cinematic history. And here’s a suggestion for something more uplifting: Why not spend the next three months embodying the spirited character of Johnny Handgun? After a challenging year, it could serve as a healing escape for you.

I have the feeling that if I consulted a spirit guide, they would warn me, ‘That could be lethal.’ … I considered whether there might be something I was overlooking, and it seems to me that what I truly needed was to be part of one of those movies I adore watching with my child. However, I suspect it would turn out to be quite a sad experience.
In an earlier interview with AV Club, Downey Jr shared his thoughts on the movie: “I can’t recall much about U.S. Marshals except that we were playing around and trying to mimic the greatness of The Fugitive – something we knew we could never truly match.
I recall something along the lines of, ‘Put on your body armor, you’re in the swamp!’ What on earth is this? Where does this narrative lead?
U.S. Marshals is now available to watch for free on ITVX.
