In an entertaining turn of events, the artist known for “The Better Man” song shared some lively moments with Australian actor Hugh Sheridan within Robbie’s hotel suite.
On Friday, Hugh posted a birthday tribute for Robbie, who celebrated his 51st birthday on the 13th of February.
The actor from Packed to the Rafters posted a collection of photos where he was playfully hanging out with a completely undressed Robbie, during the latter’s visit to Australia.

Robbie was the headline act for the city’s New Year celebrations which was broadcast on the ABC.
His eight song set was full of some of his biggest hits, such as Feel, Better Man and Rock DJ.
Additionally, he thrilled the audience by performing an emotional version of the well-known John Farnham song, “You’re The Voice”. To conclude the year 2024, he sang his 2002 hit ballad, “Angels”.
During the bridge of the song, Robbie repeated, “Australia, Australia, Australia,” and the crowd echoed back, as expected, with, “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Nevertheless, Robbie’s outstanding show drew mixed reactions among ABC viewers as he seized the moment to advertise his freshly released documentary “Better Man,” making an overt sales pitch during his performance.
Before I took the stage for my 2000 hit “Better Man,” I couldn’t help but gush about my own film with the same title, it was simply uncontainable excitement!
He said to the crowd, “Some people are describing it as the film of the century! But let me clarify, I didn’t come up with that myself – I was simply repeating what others have been saying.
Later on, Robbie inquired whether anyone had watched the film already and mentioned that it was shot in Australia.

He also modified certain lines from “Better Man” and sang, “‘Go see my film, it’s laden with drugs and adult content, I have a biographical movie too, I’m still alive.’
Many viewers found themselves divided over the decision, expressing frustration that a publicly-funded TV station like ABC was investing significant funds into Robbie’s performance.
One individual expressed their discontent on X, saying, “Were my taxes used for that lackluster Robbie Williams performance? That’s unbelievable! Promotion for a film during a concert? What in the world!
‘Instead of constantly posing for the camera and promoting himself, wouldn’t it be nice if Robbie Williams sang a song?’ (Accompanied by a thumbs down emoji)
‘Your tax dollars hard at work with this Robbie Williams performance,’ posted another.
Nevertheless, it seemed that the plug functioned effectively, as the movie won first place at the latest AACTA awards.
On that particular evening, the movie bagged four accolades, among them being the Best Director in Film award and the Best Actor in Film prize, which went to Jono Davis.
