Robbie Williams set to perform free Australian concert following New Year’s Eve performance in Sydney
As a lifelong fan of Robbie Williams, I can hardly contain my excitement for his upcoming free concert in Melbourne! Ever since I saw him perform live for the first time back in ’98, he has been a staple in my music collection and a symbol of pure entertainment. The fact that he’s coming to Australia to celebrate the New Year and promote his new biopic, Better Man, makes this an event I simply cannot miss.
I remember watching Robbie’s Sydney New Year’s Eve performance last year and being blown away by his energy and charisma on stage. Although there was that awkward moment with the audience member, it only added to the charm of the performance for me. I can’t wait to see what kind of antics he gets up to this time around!
I still have fond memories of singing along to his hits like “Let Me Entertain You,” “Angels,” and “Rock DJ” with friends at various points in my life, and I know that I’ll be belting them out again during the Melbourne concert. I’ve always admired Robbie’s ability to connect with his audience and create a sense of camaraderie, so I have no doubt that this will be an unforgettable experience.
I’m also intrigued by the fact that Better Man was filmed in Melbourne, and I can’t wait to see how it turned out. I’ll definitely be attending the screening and meeting Robbie during the meet and greet, if I’m lucky enough to get a ticket!
Lastly, I’d like to make a little joke: I heard that Robbie is playing a CGI chimpanzee in Better Man. Maybe he’s trying to tell us something about his own evolution as an artist over the years… or perhaps it’s just another one of his clever jokes! Either way, I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next. Bring on the concert and the movie premiere!
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that I will be treating Melburnians to a fantastic, free concert on a Thursday! This performance is part of my promotional efforts for the recently launched biopic “Better Man,” a movie that captures my journey and was filmed right here in Victoria. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary experience!
50-year-old English pop sensation is set to perform his most popular tunes at Federation Square starting from 5 pm, in a family-friendly concert organized by iHeartLIVE and GOLD104.3.
Apart from the upcoming movie screening, Williams is additionally scheduled to engage in conversation with renowned radio personality Craig Huggins regarding his latest film project, as well as hosting an exclusive fan event where select attendees will have the opportunity to meet him beforehand.
Previously known Take That band member expressed joy about spending New Year’s Eve in Australia, as it is one of his highly profitable and successful territories.
2024’s New Year celebration in the location where my biographical film, “Better Man,” was filmed would be a fitting conclusion to that year and an excellent beginning for 2025, as stated by Williams.
‘I can’t wait to perform and celebrate with my incredible Australian fans.’
In 2022, the film “Better Man” was produced throughout Melbourne, working hand-in-hand with VicScreen, thereby infusing millions of dollars into the local economy.
After Williams made a somewhat direct jibe at a spectator during his Sydney New Year’s Eve show, something followed.
On Tuesday, the UK superstar served as the main attraction during the city’s New Year festivities, an event that aired on ABC television.
Robbie’s stellar performance was otherwise marred by an awkward exchange with an audience member.
Following a captivating performance of “Let Me Entertain You” and “Land of 1000 Dances”, Robbie Williams and his 13-member ensemble began playing “Me and My Monkey”, a song from 2002.
It appeared that Robbie encouraged the crowd to join him in singing, yet he seemed somewhat unimpressed by one spectator’s sense of rhythm.
The singer awkwardly fell silent before chastising the audience member for their lack of timing.
‘You made me come in, in the wrong place,’ Robbie said.
‘Can you stop doing the lyrics to the song, then I don’t get it wrong.’
Next, the shot focused tightly on Robbie, revealing his face which conveyed a displeasure or annoyance that seemed to be directed at the audience member.
‘Now, okay?’ Robbie sternly instructed before continuing with the song.
Robbie’s eight song set was full of some of his biggest hots such as Feel, Better Man and Rock DJ.
Before Robbie’s rendition of “Better Man,” his 2001 hit, he expressed enthusiastic praise for his self-produced film bearing the same title.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d say some people are referring to this film as the century’s masterpiece! Though the phrase isn’t mine originally, I must admit it has found its way into my vocabulary recently.
Afterwards, Robbie inquired if anyone had watched the film already, and shared that it was shot in Australia.
As a die-hard devotee, I couldn’t help but rework a few lines in “Better Man,” singing instead, “So, catch my flick, it’s a drug-filled, steamy scene, I’ve got my life story on the big screen, I’m not even cold.
In a mind-blowing twist, I find myself utterly captivated by the Melbourne-produced film where a CGI chimp, yes, you heard that right, a CGI chimpanzee, brings Williams’ character to life! This masterpiece employs extraordinary special effects to transport us back to England during the ’80s and ’90s, all without leaving the Melbourne set. Incredible, isn’t it?
