Viewers of Dancing on Ice expressed their frustration when Charlie Brooks was eliminated as the fifth contestant, alleging that the judges had marked Anton Ferdinand too generously, suggesting bias or overmarking.

In a fierce competition, the beloved character from EastEnders, aged 43, who was paired with pro skater Eric Radford, fought valiantly against the ex-footballer, aged 39. However, despite their best efforts, they didn’t manage to secure a spot in the final dance-off and were eliminated from the competition.

After hearing that she was to be eliminated, Charlie openly admitted that she felt prepared to leave following several challenging weeks.

The actress admitted to Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern that as the program progressed, she started feeling overwhelmed and realized she might have been the one who should have been sent home.

However, contrary to popular belief, spectators of the acclaimed ITV program had a different perspective. Instead, they praised Charlie’s dance moves, stating he was far superior to Anton. They also suggested that the judges may have intentionally overrated Charlie in their scoring.

‘Okay but dan had more mistakes than both charlie and Michaela and it was Vanessa that did all the tricks, he just stayed on two feet for the whole dance…. but sure lets give him 9.5s #DancingOnIce’.

It seems clear that the judges will favor Anton, giving him higher scores. Unfortunately, this means Charlie won’t advance. I personally prefer Charlie on Dancing On Ice. #DancingOnIce

I’m sorry, but I’m a bit puzzled… How can they manage to save Anton if there hasn’t been any improvement in his condition? They themselves mentioned that he hasn’t shown any signs of recovery.

Charlie predominantly danced on one foot throughout her routine, whereas Anton stayed on two feet the entire time… I find what Charlie did more impressive. #DancingOnIce

A week ago, Charlie found themselves without a dance partner as Eric, the professional dancer, had to withdraw due to an injury.

The impending performance of their new act was just around the corner for Charlie and Eric, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major setback for them instead.

Through an announcement, it was disclosed by Dancing On Ice’s official X account that he suffered his injury while practicing for the show.

Next to a photo of the professional skater, the post stated: ‘Regrettably, Eric Radford got hurt during practice.’

Due to medical recommendations, Brendyn Hatfield will skate alongside Charlie Brooks this week instead of the original partner.

‘We wish Eric a quick recovery and hope to see him back on the ice next week.’ 

It believed that Eric sustained a back injury and was rushed to the hospital for an MRI scan. 

Regarding the surprising injury, Charlie spoke to The Sun, saying: “Eric suffered a back injury, causing his quad muscle not to function correctly. As a result, he needs an MRI and has been advised to take this whole week off the ice. This news is truly disheartening.

‘It’s such a shame, he’s my number one and I will be lost without him.

Instead, consider flipping your perspective and finding excitement in the possibility of skating alongside someone new, like Brendyn. Since he’s quite impressive, it would be enjoyable to learn more about him.
