Rob Reiner’s pals Billy Crystal and Larry David seen at crime scene as When Harry Met Sally star left ‘in tears’ after film icon is found dead at 78

Oh my god, it’s just… heartbreaking. I heard Billy Crystal and Larry David – can you imagine? – were totally wrecked leaving Rob Reiner’s house in Brentwood. Apparently, it’s a crime scene now, and seeing those two, his friends, leaving like that… it just breaks my heart. I mean, Rob Reiner! And to see them so upset… it’s awful.

Crystal, age 77, and David, 78, learned that the bodies recently discovered belonged to Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, who were 78 and 68 years old, respectively.

According to law enforcement sources at TMZ, police are investigating the deaths of a couple as a homicide. Their bodies were found with apparent knife wounds.

Daily Mail has reached out to Reiner’s representatives for comment and has yet to hear back.

According to a neighbor who spoke with ABC7 in Los Angeles, David and Crystal – famous for their roles in the classic romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally – both went to the scene of the incident, but Crystal reportedly left while crying.

According to NBCLA, Reiner and his wife both live in and own the house.

Reiner and Crystal were friends for many years. Reiner famously directed Crystal in the popular 1989 film When Harry Met Sally, which also starred Meg Ryan.

Nora Ephron, famous for romantic comedies, wrote a beloved film about two friends who meet in college, move to New York City, and share a complicated, on-again, off-again relationship for eleven years.

Richard Reiner is well-known for appearing with Larry David on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’. He famously played himself in the popular episode ‘The Thong’, which first aired in October 2001.
