Roadman is a forthcoming crime-themed simulation game, scheduled to debut in early access on Android devices on June 19, 2025. The game’s creative director, Shaun Leach, refers to it as more than just a game, describing it as a form of social commentary. A version for iOS will be made available at a later date.

Hustle, manage, and grow in a world that judges your every move

The game “Roadman” is a no-cost simulation that combines third-person shooting with a unique criminal underworld management aspect. Set in a rough urban environment where everyone’s trying to establish themselves, you assume the role of a roadman, aiming to construct and control your own clandestine organization.

I’ve had a soft spot for games similar to GTA in the crime genre, and this one also catches my interest. The prize money – £10,000 – is at your disposal, and the methods you choose to earn it can range from striking new deals, leading your team, or delving into dubious business ventures. What adds to its appeal is that each decision you make carries an element of risk.

Remarkably, it’s the lifelike quality of the game that sets it apart. What makes it unique is how the townsfolk respond differently based on factors such as your ethnicity, religion, and financial status in various districts. The exploration of prejudice and dark humor only heightens my curiosity to delve into this game.

Experience a living, layered city shaped by players and stories

Additionally, the city is constructed hierarchically, encompassing large hubs and bustling, vibrant districts. Certain regions might be controlled by gangs, while others could be populated with dealers or specific demographics. As mentioned by Jeff, the game’s architect, the map undergoes modifications depending on the number of players participating in a given session.

This game seems intriguing indeed, offering an open-ended playground, a city brimming with biting satire, eccentric characters, diverse weaponry, and rival gangs, among other features. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the developers enhance the game’s graphics significantly by its official release date.

The game “Roadman” will be available for early access on Android devices starting from June 19, 2025. For further information, please visit the game’s official website.
