Tonight in the UK, the gripping cat-and-mouse suspense drama titled “Suspicion,” featuring Uma Thurman and Kunal Nayyar from “The Big Bang Theory,” will be airing on television.
In this series, Uma Thurman portrays Katherine Newman, an American businesswoman, whose world is shaken when her 21-year-old son goes missing, leading to a kidnapping ordeal. As the probe into the incident commences, a shadow of suspicion looms over five typical British residents.
In addition to Thurman and Nayyar, the illustrious cast includes Georgina Campbell from “Barbarian”, Lydia West from “Big Mood”, Elyes Gabel who was in “Game of Thrones”, Mandip Gill known for her role in “Doctor Who”, and Elizabeth Henstridge, a familiar face from “Agents of SHIELD”.
Tonight at 10pm, the eight-episode series modeled after the Israeli show “False Flag” will make its debut on ITV1. If you can’t wait until tonight, each episode is now streaming on ITVX, which added them earlier this week.
First broadcast on Apple TV+ in 2022, the show titled “Suspicion” garnered a varied reaction from critics, ultimately leading to its termination by the streaming platform after only one season had been aired. As of now, it holds a rating of 48% approval on Rotten Tomatoes based on 29 reviews.

The political thriller under discussion is unique and captivating in its complexity, according to The Wall Street Journal. On the other hand, The Guardian described it as a rather disjointed narrative that doesn’t truly hit its stride until about a fourth of the way through the story.
In simpler terms, The Financial Times commented that after overcoming the initial dullness, you’ll discover a nerve-wracking, senseless thriller. Meanwhile, The Sydney Morning Herald stated that the storyline moves swiftly and stays clear, making it hard to resist reading quickly.

There was not universal consensus, as The Independent pointed out: “This reminds us of a significant point – television programs are effective when they employ their narrative devices skillfully, instead of simply dissecting a story and hoping viewers can piece it together on their own.
In harmony with their thoughts, Vulture wrote: “Suspicion often boasts about its intelligence and justice, yet over the span of eight episodes, it offers scant proof for either claim.
Suspicion will premiere on Saturday 21st June on ITV1 at 10pm.
