The popular mystery thriller A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will return for its second season on May 27th in the UK. All six episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer before airing on BBC One and BBC Three. This announcement follows a sneak peek shared with the show’s cast.
The show’s second season has been officially announced following a short video posted on its Instagram page. The video features stars Emma Myers (known from Wednesday) and Asha Banks (My Fault: London), who are seen holding a sign that reads: “You’re getting closer.”
The popular mystery series, based on Holly Jackson’s novel, first aired almost two years ago on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer in the UK. It followed 17-year-old Pip Fitz-Amobi as she investigated a long-unsolved case. After being added to Netflix, the show quickly became very popular on the streaming platform.

When it first came out, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder received positive reviews. Variety called it “a dark, twisted delight,” and The i Paper praised it as a “fast-paced, frothy whodunnit” that really shines when it embraces that style.
I was really hooked by A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. It’s a great mix of teen drama and a proper crime story, and honestly, the young actors are fantastic – they really make the show work!
Digital Spy‘s own four-star review called the show “the perfect summer vibe”.
What to Read Next
In November 2024, a second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was announced. Filming began the following April, and recently, we’ve gotten a sneak peek at some of the returning characters in the new episodes.

I’m so excited for season two of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to follow Pip (Emma Myers) after she cracked the Andie Bell case. But things aren’t all sunshine and roses – apparently, solving the mystery really changed her life, and not necessarily in a good way. It sounds like she’s dealing with the fallout of her actions, which is a really interesting direction for the story!
Season two will bring back familiar faces like Ravi (Zain Iqbal), Cara (Asha Banks), Lauren (Yali Topol Margalith), and Connor (Jude Morgan-Collie). Joining them are new cast members Misia Butler, known from Netflix’s KAOS, Jack Rowan from BBC’s Noughts and Crosses, Eden Hambelton-Davies (Tell Me Everything), and Freddie Thorp (Safe on Netflix).
Fans will no doubt be really excited that the second season is indeed “getting closer…”
You can watch season one of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder on BBC iPlayer now, and the second season will be available on May 27, 2026.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
