Riverdale star Charles Melton is expecting first child with director Camille Summers

Riverdale alum Charles Melton is expecting his first child with girlfriend Camille Summers-Valli.

The 35-year-old actor’s longtime partner announced the baby news on Instagram on Friday.

The director, who is French-Australian, announced she’s expecting a baby with a sweet caption – ‘Making a little family’ – alongside a series of photos showing off her growing bump.

Photos surfaced of Melton, including one of him kissing her stomach and another showing him with the actress at a doctor’s visit.

Actor Michael Gandolfini wrote in the comments, ‘Mom and dad!!! Love you both so much.’

Drew Melton became well-known after joining the cast of the CW’s teen drama, Riverdale, in 2017. The series concluded in August 2023.

Melton and Summers-Valli have generally maintained a private relationship, and haven’t discussed it publicly.

On Saturday, the popular gossip account DeuxMoi posted an anonymous message claiming that actor Charles Melton and his girlfriend, Camille Summers-Valli, are expecting a baby.

She shared the news on Instagram, and fans are gradually finding out. Congratulations to the future parents!

Summers-Vallie has only 33,000 Instagram followers, making the announcement slow to circulate.

Meanwhile, Melton boasts nearly five million followers on the social media platform.

I’ve been following him closely, and I noticed something interesting. He posted on New Year’s Day, but there wasn’t a single word about the baby! The caption was just ‘joyous times,’ which feels… deliberately vague, honestly. It’s got me wondering what’s going on.

Charles Melton was in a relationship with his Riverdale co-star Camila Mendes from 2018 to 2021. In 2022, he began dating Chase Sui Wonders.

A relationship with Chloe Bennet followed in 2023.

The actor slammed public speculation about his love life in a 2019 interview with Hunger magazine.

He explained that he prefers to avoid reading comments on social media, and doesn’t even use Twitter, because people often feel the need to share unsolicited opinions. He simply believes people should focus on their own lives.

The performer pointed out that gossip has always existed, even before social media like Instagram. However, it used to be harder to hear about it, and ultimately, other people shouldn’t try to control who she dates or has relationships with.

He also pointed out that not everyone will approve of your relationship, and it’s important to remember that opinions aren’t the same as reality.
