Oh, my dear fellow fans, let me tell you that I have been utterly captivated by this latest masterpiece – Rivals! Ever since the days of Doctor Who, where David Tennant’s Time Lord adventures stole my heart, and now, here we are, with these two titans of screen, teaming up for a Burberry Christmas extravaganza.

David Tennant and Alex Hassell, two notable figures who often find themselves at odds, have collaborated with the renowned British fashion brand Burberry, to create a visually striking London-themed holiday advertisement that was unveiled on Wednesday.

In the latest Disney series, Lord Tony Baddingham, played by Tennant, and Rupert Campbell-Black, portrayed by Hassell, strutted stylishly along the street, engaged in conversation.

53-year-old actor David, best known for his role as Doctor Who, caught attention in a stylish £3,580 striped double-breasted suit and tie. He paired this look with a navy jacket and a vibrant red £420 scarf designed by a popular fashion brand.

While Alex, aged 44, was spotted, he wore a matching suit beneath a costly £1,690 overcoat. In his hands were several beautifully wrapped gifts wrapped in Burberry-red paper, neatly piled one atop the other.

The pair were seen walking laden with gifts before Alex leaned against a lamp post, while David hailed an iconic black London cab.

Alex and David grinned broadly as they hopped into the taxi, ready to depart with cheerful tunes filling the scene.

On Instagram, Burberry posted an ad featuring actors David Tennant and Alex Hassell, who are both colleagues and friends. They’re seen embodying the holiday mood while wearing classic Burberry coats and signature Burberry items. The hashtag used is #WrappedInBurberry.

Since Rivals dropped on Disney+ last month, fans have said they are ‘obsessed’ with the show.

The eagerly awaited series, often referred to as a “bestseller,” currently boasts an impressive 93% rating on the Tomatometer, thanks to the rave early reviews from fourteen critics.

Alongside David and Alex, we have Aidan Turner, Emily Atack, Danny Dyer, Katherine Parkinson, Oliver Chris, and Claire Rushbrook completing our illustrious ensemble cast.

In 1986, I found myself immersed in a thrilling tale that offers an unflinching glimpse into the ruthless realm of television. As a dedicated follower, I navigated the tense competition between Rupert Campbell-Black, portrayed by Hassell, and Lord Tony Baddingham, brilliantly played by Tennant.

At various social gatherings such as parties and lunches held at Lord Baddingham’s countryside estate, complex romantic entanglements and passionate longings are delved into.

After Alex admitted that he indeed bared all for steamy scenes as the roguish Campbell-Black in the racy series, it follows…

The actor confessed that he bared his actual penis during the infamous tennis scene with busty co-star Emily Atack, 34, after shunning the option of using a prosthetic or digital simulation and rather than being nervous, cheekily admitted: ‘I am not without attributes.’

He told Times 2 magazine: ‘I don’t mind seeing my bum and willy on screen, I wouldn’t have done the job if I was particularly shy about my body.’

The character’s erotic endeavours sees him join the mile high club on Concorde just seconds into the first episode, before stripping off to make love on a fur rug.

As a committed participant, I shared with Metro that there was a discussion about whether it would be me, prosthetics, or digital effects. However, in the final analysis, we decided to proceed without any hesitation.

In discussing the logistics of capturing those explicit scenes, he mentioned: ‘You carefully arrange everything in advance, and on the actual day, you’re primarily trying to suppress your laughter as much as possible.’
