The popular online strategy game, Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade, developed by Lilith Games, is now available for download in India on both Android and iOS devices. However, there’s an important detail you should be aware of, which I’ll explain next.

Rise of Kingdoms was part of the 2020 ban on apps and games in India

Rise of Kingdoms was one of 118 apps and games blocked by the Indian government in September 2020 due to concerns about data privacy and misuse. Since the ban, players in India have had difficulty accessing the game, often using unofficial files or playing through servers in other countries.

Rise of Kingdoms is a strategy game where you develop a civilization, build up armies, and claim land on a massive, shared map. You get to pick from different historical cultures, recruit famous leaders, and battle other players from around the globe – you can team up with them or compete against them!

Here’s the catch: the game currently available in India is the Japanese version, not the original one most players remember and enjoyed.

Okay, so there are a couple of things to know. If you used to play the game on the worldwide version, unfortunately you won’t be able to connect it to this new one. But if you’re still curious and want to give it a shot, you can find it available for download on both the Google Play Store and the App Store. I’m excited to try it out!

This return is encouraging for players, but it’s not a full restoration of the game since the original global version and your previous account progress aren’t available. However, it’s still a welcome development if you had stopped playing the global version.
