Riot reveals major 2XKO updates: Ranked lobbies, Jinx gameplay, and Alpha Lab 2
Riot Games has made several major changes to 2XKO over the past six months.
Riot Games recently unveiled significant changes for their 2XKO combat game, along with the announcement of Alpha Lab 2’s launch date.
2XKO playtest in Alpha Lab 2
On March 27th, Audrey “Riot Fooey” Miano shared details about the upcoming 2XKO playtest (also called Alpha Lab 2). In this test, players will have the opportunity to try out Jinx as a selectable character.

In the 2XKO game, here’s Jinx’s complete move set: Besides her Special abilities, Super moves, and the Super Mega Death Rocket Monkey Cannon Ultimate, she also has unique moves such as “Watch Your Feet”, “Slide”, “Watch This”, and “Watch Your Head”.
2XKO Ranked lobbies in Alpha Lab 2
Following that, the playtest introduces two new gameplay modifications named Sidekick and Juggernaut in place of Pulse Fuse and Fury Fuse, which will now be called Pulse Comb and Fury Break respectively. Additionally, there will be 2XKO Ranked lobbies for competitive players. The ranking system in these lobbies ranges from Aspirant Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, all the way up to Challenger.
More 2XKO playtest updates
Alpha Lab 2 is set to introduce significant modifications in its core gameplay, including renaming Pushblock to Push Assist, upgrades to KO and Super Assists, implementing a new Limit Strike system, and various other enhancements. Expect improvements across controls, visuals, lobbies, tutorial voice lines, in-game settings, and cosmetic elements too.

2XKO Alpha Lab 2 release date
Regarding the Alpha Lab 2 launch timing, it’s expected to fall within April 18th through April 20th. The 2XKO playtest will be accessible in the U.S., Canada, and Brazil on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
