Riot Games unveils new skins for League of Legends 2026 Season

League of Legends will be receiving exciting new skin lines in 2026! Here’s a look at everything that’s been revealed, including both returning popular skins and completely original designs.

Riot Games kicked off the year with a developer video showcasing the upcoming skins for League of Legends in 2026. Players can look forward to skins inspired by Gundam, as well as the return of popular lines like Battle Academia and Firecracker, plus other exciting reveals. Here’s a summary of everything they’ve shared so far.

League of Legends 2026 Season: Skins revealed

Riot Games has revealed four new League of Legends skins arriving with patch 26.02 on January 22nd. Galio and Ornn are getting skins with a mecha anime theme, while Briar and Samira will join the Battle Academia line. Galio’s skin is a special, more detailed ‘Legendary’ skin and will cost 1920 RP. These skins will be available with the start of Act 2.

For players who enjoy the game’s story, the skins for Galio and Ornn are connected to the same world as skins like Ultimate Gun Goddess Miss Fortune and Prestige Cyber Halo Janna.

The new splash art images are appearing online, but the current versions are a bit blurry. We’ll replace them with clearer, high-quality images as soon as Riot Games releases them.

Firecracker return

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the Firecracker skin line is coming back to League of Legends. 2026 is the Year of the Horse according to the Chinese lunisolar calendar, and Lillia will be receiving a new Lunar Year skin. You can now preview her stunning design within the game!

Rumors suggest Camille, Seraphine, and Caitlyn could also receive skins in this collection, but Riot hasn’t officially confirmed it. Along with the new Firecracker skin, Riot is introducing a spring-themed collection called Petals of Spring, created in partnership with League of Legends: Wild Rift.

April Fools’ and new skin lines

I’m so excited! Riot just announced they’re bringing back the April Fool’s skins to League of Legends in 2026! We don’t know which champions will get them yet, but you can always count on these skins being hilarious and really bright. Last year, in 2025, they did Pengu Garen and those awesome “Glizzy Overdrive” skins for Shaco, Urgot, Braum, Naafiri, and Malphite. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Unlike last year’s April Fools’ skins, which all shared a common theme, this year’s skins will be released individually, without being grouped together.

Riot Games is diving into a more complex side of Demacia in Act 2, introducing a new collection of character skins. They’ll also be revealing a completely new skin line during the First Stand tournament. We don’t have any clues yet, but we’re eager to see what fresh content they bring to League of Legends!

Prestige, Exalted, and Victorious skins in the 2026 Season

Popular high-quality character skins will be returning soon. We’re kicking off the 2026 season with a new Prestige skin for Veiled Lady Morgana, available January 8th with the Battle Pass. Later in the season, Sona da Mordekaiser will also receive Prestige skin options.

Okay, so the next champion getting an Exalted skin is Viego! It’s called Revenant Reign Viego, and it’s going to be available exclusively through The Sanctum – that’s League’s gacha system, for those who don’t know. Basically, you’ll have to use Ancient Sparks to try and win the skin. Fingers crossed I get lucky!

Riot Games has revealed that Braum will receive the exclusive Victorious skin this season. Players can earn it by winning 15 Ranked games – at any rank – during Season 1. You’ll also need to have reached Honor Level 3, so remember to play nicely with your team!
