Riot Games is planning to collect funds for assisting those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, including firefighters and other relief organizations.
Riot Games, the creators of League of Legends and VALORANT, are organizing fundraising events within their games to aid victims affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles. In a post on their official news page, they expressed their commitment to helping out both directly (by providing support) and indirectly (through in-game fundraisers aimed at disaster relief and prevention efforts), since they are deeply connected to the city of Los Angeles.
League of Legends
From January 23rd to February 5th, all earnings generated by the special Firefighter Tristana skin (made available exclusively for this charity event) will be donated directly to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. This unique skin is priced at 1820 RP, equivalent to approximately $15 when purchased.

VALORANT
Regarding VALORANT, the EX.O Collection is set to transform into a Give Back Bundle from January 22nd until January 30th. Any earnings generated by purchasing weapons skins or accessories during this period will be donated to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.

Los Angeles wildfires
As stated by Riot Games, due to numerous team members losing their homes, the company is offering temporary housing, emergency financial aid, and access to advisory services. Given that the LA headquarters is situated near the Palisades Fires (the most significant ongoing blaze), many employees of Riot Games are currently working remotely. In a statement, they expressed their intention to assist not only the immediate relief efforts but also the long-term recovery in Southern California over the coming years.
Just last week, we initiated a generous giving event, where Riot members’ charitable contributions were tripled for various organizations like the California Fire Foundation, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, International Medical Corps, American Red Cross, and World Central Kitchen. Additionally, it was shared that Riot had made substantial direct donations towards the California Fire Foundation and International Medical Corps to aid in their relief efforts.
Riot Games has shared plans for assisting in the reconstruction of the impacted areas as well. Here’s a collection of resources to aid in this effort!
