Riot Games leaked Arcane S2 spoiler icons “by accident”

Riot Games leaked Arcane S2 spoiler icons “by accident”

As a devoted fan with over a decade of immersion in the world of Runeterra, I can’t help but be enthralled by these recent Arcane icon leaks. It’s like a treasure hunt for lore enthusiasts, each clue bringing us closer to understanding the intricate tapestry Riot Games weaves.

As an enthusiastic follower, I’ve stumbled upon some intriguing arcane symbols that have been sneakily revealed on the Public Beta Environment (PBE). These symbols seem to unveil captivating details about our beloved characters, information that might have been prematurely disclosed.

Information regarding League of Legends’ freshly leaked icons from the Public Beta Environment (PBE) hints at details for Arcane season 2. These three icons carry significant information that will unfold on Netflix starting November 9. If you prefer to avoid spoilers, this is not the place for you.

Given that Riot Games swiftly took these changes off the Public Beta Environment (PBE), it seems they weren’t meant for public disclosure just yet. It could also be possible that this “oversight” is part of a strategic marketing move to generate more excitement among fans. However, the truth remains elusive.

The user SkinSpotlights, a data miner known for advancing new skins on League of Legends, shared on X the new icons leaked on PBE to the TFT Macao Open, the 2nd annual TFT event happening in Macao, China. From now on, it’s your responsibility to see the spoilers!

Leaked icons about Arcane

As a devoted fan, let me share some insights about three pivotal figures in Arcane: Mel Medarda, Viktor, and Warwick. Interestingly, amidst these key characters, we also catch a glimpse of a Chibi version of Irelia. Although she’s not originally part of Arcane, it’s worth noting that she was also omitted from the revised, “clean” version Riot Games uploaded a short while later.

Reddit users speculate that this Warwick symbol found on Reddit might represent his mid-transformation phase, a time when he hasn’t fully transformed into the monster depicted in the trailer, and neither is the human version visible. They don’t think it has anything to do with a game rework, but rather as an icon to provide more background story or lore information about Warwick.

Viktor: reworked finally confirmed?

Last month, I wrote an article about how Arcane was pushing Viktor into a rework, not only visually, but also lore-wise. This icon might prove what many Viktor mains were waiting for – his rework. We can see Viktor in a purple background (related to the hextech powers).

There’s a fair amount of skepticism among fans about this design. Some see similarities to Jhin due to the mask, while others believe Viktor is missing key facial features like eyes and mouth. Additionally, some have noted on Reddit that the icon may not easily tie into an Arcane Season 2 skin, perhaps not even the in-game default icon for Viktor.

Mel Medarda as a playable champion

Previously, the leaked icon was that of Mel Medarda. For those unaware, Mel is currently not a playable character in League of Legends. At first, it may seem unusual for Riot to release an icon featuring her since she isn’t part of the game yet. However, this wouldn’t be surprising at all once we learn that she will join the roster in 2025.

In October, it was disclosed through the LeagueOfLeaks account that Mel will be the first fresh champion introduced in 2025. This character is expected to be a mage with skills possibly influenced by the temporary abilities currently shown on her interface. She’s due to make her appearance after Ambessa Medarda, who is set to debut as a playable champion in League of Legends at the end of this year.
