Ringo Starr reveals what he would say to George Harrison and John Lennon if they were here today
Ringo Starr recently shared a touching message he’d express to his deceased Beatles companions, George Harrison and John Lennon, if they were still alive today.
On Monday, during his 85th birthday celebration, Ringo paused for a brief moment to reflect on his late friends, George who passed away from cancer in 2001, and John who was tragically taken by gunfire in 1980.
During his ‘Peace & Love Birthday Celebration’ in Beverly Hills, California, the well-known musician shared some thoughts that were only intended for The Daily Mail, discussing what he wanted to express to them privately.
When asked about what he would tell George and John if they were present, Ringo chuckled and replied, “What brings you two here?
He then added, ‘Actually I would say I love you and I miss you, that is what I would say.’
Ringo, known for playing the drums in the Beatles and sometimes taking the lead on vocals, also pondered over their monumental achievement.

Back in 1960, the iconic British rock quartet consisting of Ringo Starr, George Harrison, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney came together and unleashed an array of timeless songs that continue to captivate millions of fans worldwide, even after several decades.
And Ringo admitted that he’s honored that people are still listening to their music today.
‘We are still being played today, we did a great job,’ he reflected.
Moreover, he emphasized that many of their tunes centered around ‘peace and affection,’ a theme he now devotes his entire existence to promoting.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve dedicated years to advocating for peace and love through my own personal initiative. Every year since 2008, on my birthday, global celebrations of peace and love have taken place in tribute to me.
‘We’re seeing a lot of things happening right now and we need peace and love,’ he stressed.
If your thoughts are centered around peace and affection, then presumably you’re not engaged in anything else. On my birthday, let’s make sure we’re all focusing on these sentiments. It’s crucial that our gathering is about peace and love, rather than any form of conflict.
After years apart, renowned British filmmaker Sam Mendes is currently working on a series of four Beatles biographical films set to premiere in April 2028.

As a devoted devotee, I can share that Ringo himself has unveiled his substantial role in the creation of these movies. Speaking candidly with the Daily Mail, he disclosed that I invested a substantial amount of time – approximately two days – collaborating closely with Sam, to guarantee an authentic portrayal of our story.
He endorsed the films, stating that he’s a major admirer of Sam’s artistic endeavors and was thrilled with the quality of the screenplay.
He mentioned that he’s spent time with Sam and over the scripts. To him, Sam is quite skilled, amazing, and has an incredible passion for The Beatles.
Sam’s movies are top-notch, and he’s a genuinely nice person too. I have no doubt he’ll excel. Spending two days with him resulted in just minor adjustments.
He playfully commented, “However, I won’t express any positive or negative opinions about it until I get a chance to observe it myself.
It’s odd that four films are releasing on the same date, yet they’re being filmed simultaneously. I can’t provide more details about it.
At the lively event, the ex-Beatle appeared radiantly well, accompanied by other renowned personalities such as Joe Walsh from the Eagles band.
In a conversation with the Daily Mail, Ringo shared insights about his sobriety; noteworthy is that he gave up drugs and alcohol following a stay at a rehabilitation center back in 1988.

He confided that he found himself in a rehabilitation center due to my lack of respect towards both myself and others. Since then, I haven’t touched a drop of alcohol. Thank you, Lord.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I often find myself embracing the timeless allure of iconic figures, and Ringo Starr, whose authentic name is Richard Starkey, is no exception. To this day, he continues to resonate with the vibrant spirit of the ’60s through his unique fashion choices. You can spot him donning a peace sign pendant and tinted oval spectacles, accessories that perfectly encapsulate the essence of that era’s free-spirited energy.
He incorporated a contemporary flair into his ensemble by pairing a white denim jacket with black jeans. Maintaining the motif, he donned a black T-shirt adorned with a peace and love design.
At the event, a tribute concert was given for the renowned musician, where he was spotted joyfully singing alongside his wife, Barbara Bach, who is 77 years old.
