Dimcroon has announced an open beta for their action game, Ring of Fire: Prometheus, launching in China on November 28th. Players have been eagerly anticipating this beta, as the initial closed beta test was postponed several times.
Explore a voxel world full of history and tactical encounters
Ring of Fire: Prometheus is a 2D action game with a unique voxel art style. It’s a side-scroller set in the world of Tethys, where you play as an Administrator. You’ll explore a rich world filled with interesting battles and a compelling story, even witnessing historical events unfold. It’s a pretty exciting experience!

Soon, you’ll be able to experience a unique world that combines detailed 2D characters with retro 3D environments. You’ll have the freedom to explore a large, open map, solve puzzles built into the surroundings, and discover hidden treasures as you play.
Players can soon experiment with three-character teams and enjoy roguelike action
The battle system seems really interesting – you build a team of three characters and can switch between them instantly during fights. I appreciate the detailed art and individual stories for each character, but I’m starting to get a little tired of the cute, miniature character design, even though they are adorable.
The wait is nearly over, and you’ll soon get a much clearer idea of what the game is really like. While many people are excited, some are still doubtful. For example, one player commented that the game seems to have gone through a very difficult development process, and another advised others not to get their hopes up too high.
Ring of Fire: Prometheus will begin its open beta on November 28th. Currently, there’s no word on when it will be available worldwide, but you can follow the official TapTap account for the latest news and updates!
