Rihanna recently unveiled her latest hit single titled “Friend Of Mine”, marking a three-year gap since her last release, and it will be featured in the official soundtrack of the upcoming Smurfs film.

The song, lasting roughly three minutes and thirty seconds, boasts production by Jon Bellion, f a l l e n, and Pete Nappi. In “Friend Of Mine,” Rih’s vocals are subtly filtered and layered over a rhythmic soundscape, making it an excellent choice for any summer playlist.

In the movie “Smurfs,” Rihanna portrays Smurfette, alongside actors such as Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, JP Karliak, Dan Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña, Kurt Russell, and John Goodman. The plot revolves around the story where Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is kidnapped by wicked sorcerers named Razamel and Gargamel. In an attempt to rescue him, Smurfette (Rihanna) guides the Smurfs on a journey from their world into ours. With the assistance of new companions, the Smurfs embark on a quest to uncover the secret that determines their fate for the sake of saving the universe.
