Ronald has battled addiction to crack cocaine in the past and has long been a heavy drinker.
As a young girl, Rihanna shared with Oprah that she had tragically observed her father inflicting physical violence on her mother, an incident resulting in her mother’s broken nose.
In 2008, Ronald was dismissed from his North American tour after exhibiting intoxicated conduct on the tour bus.
Ronald has said that Rihanna then froze him out for two years before they reconciled.
In 2013, the singer discretely enrolled Ronald in a $58,000 rehabilitation program located in Malibu as a means to prevent his incarceration, following his arrest during a trip to California.
However, in 2014, Ronald was asked to leave the Diamond Ball due to an awkward incident where he got drunk and stumbled on the red carpet, causing embarrassment to his daughter.
On my recent adventure, I unfortunately didn’t get to meet up with my daughter during my travels through California. However, we managed to reconnect and mend our bond in the days that followed.
