Rihanna looks stylish in draped brown coat as she and A$AP Rocky leave their Paris hotel – after rapper was hit with $1m lawsuit for ‘catastrophic’ damages to neighbour’s apartment

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were seen leaving their hotel in Paris on Friday morning, shortly after A$AP Rocky was sued for $1 million. The lawsuit claims he caused significant damage to a neighbor’s apartment in New York City.

Singer Rihanna, 37, was spotted leaving Le Royal Monceau wearing a brown coat, jeans, and large sunglasses.

Rapper ASAP, age 37, chose a more casual look with a denim jacket and beige cargo pants, finishing the outfit with a stylish black Chanel hat.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky share two sons, RZA, age three, and Riot Rose, age two. They welcomed their first daughter, Rocki Irish, in September 2025.

But it hasn’t been plain sailing for the couple of late.

Okay, so here’s the latest buzz – it seems a neighbor of a very famous rapper is taking him to court. Apparently, a leak from his incredibly expensive New York apartment – we’re talking $11 million! – caused some serious damage to the unit below. They’re describing it as ‘catastrophic,’ which definitely doesn’t sound good. It’s a reminder that even in luxury buildings, things can go wrong and neighbors sometimes end up in legal battles!

The former member of ASAP Mob owns a spacious, three-bedroom loft spanning 4,800 square feet. The building itself dates back to 1895 but was updated in the 1990s.

According to legal filings, the owner of the apartment beneath the rapper’s unit says a leak in December 2024 caused severe flooding, rendering the condo completely unlivable.

According to The Independent, a lawsuit was filed on October 30th in Manhattan County Supreme Court. It claims significant water damage occurred due to the carelessness of Rakim Athelaston Mayers, the apartment owner, and a painting company called ADE Pro Painting.

The resident of the unit below reports over $700,000 in damage to their home and belongings, including furniture, clothes, and structural features.

Since the incident, the people who lived in the apartment have spent $200,000 on things like temporary housing and other costs they had to cover themselves.

A$AP Rocky is being sued for $1.1 million by a neighbor who claims she was forced to move due to carelessness by workers he hired. The lawsuit alleges the rapper is responsible for the damages caused by his contractor’s actions.

The damage reportedly happened last December when multiple hot water pipes broke in and near Rocky’s apartment.

The documents show that painters from ADE Pro Painting opened windows for ventilation while working on the property, and reportedly didn’t close them even though it was freezing outside.

That decision, paired with mechanical issues in the heating system, reportedly led to the flood.

The people suing are asking for at least $900,000 total from Tyson Beem (acting on behalf of A$AP Rocky), the condo association, and ADE Pro Painting. They are also seeking at least $200,000 specifically from the condo association.

The owner of ADE Pro Painting told The Independent in an email that a non-disclosure agreement with the rapper prevents them from sharing specific details. They also stated that their business was negatively impacted and they haven’t been paid for some of the work they did.

According to a spokesperson, the insurance company is now dealing with the situation. Daily Mail has also reached out to A$AP Rocky’s representative for a statement.
