Rihanna gives birth: Star welcomes third child with A$AP Rocky and reveals newborn’s surprising name

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have had another baby, and they’ve chosen a unique name for their third child.

The 37-year-old celebrity recently posted a picture of her newborn daughter, adding to her family which already includes two sons, ages three and two.

The singer shared that she and her partner welcomed their baby girl, Rocki Irish Mayers, on September 13th. They chose the name to honor her father.

Her middle name, Irish, seemed like a loving nod to her late father, Ronald Fenty, and his family history – he came from African, Irish, English, and Scottish roots.

Rihanna looked stunning after becoming a mother, and her daughter was absolutely precious in a stylish pink outfit complete with delicate lace socks.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had been friends for over ten years before they began a romantic relationship in 2020, after Rihanna ended things with her previous boyfriend, Hasan Jameel.

Two years after getting together, the couple welcomed their first son RZA in May 2022.

Rihanna surprised fans by revealing she was pregnant with her second child during her Super Bowl halftime performance in February 2023, showing off her growing belly on stage.

She gave birth to their second son, Riot Rose, in August of that year.

A$AP recently shared in an interview that he and his partner recently had a baby. He mentioned he’s hoping this time it’s a girl, as they already have two sons.

He expressed a strong desire for a daughter, saying he and his family were hoping and praying for one. With their first child, they were eager to find out the baby’s sex, but with their second, they chose not to.

We’re waiting until the birth to find out the gender this time. I have a strong feeling it’s a girl, though – this pregnancy feels completely different than my previous two.

‘You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.’

He also discussed their relationship, emphasizing the importance of avoiding work conversations when they’re spending time with family.

He said: ‘We don’t talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day.’

Coming home should be about the people you love – your family and those you live with. Forget about everything else going on outside those walls.
