Rihanna Cancels Comeback Concerts in London Days Before Announcement
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel the sting of disappointment, knowing that Rihanna has allegedly called off her long-awaited return to the stage this summer – mere days before the grand announcement!
37-year-old music icon has been speculated to arrange a six-show residency in London during July as a comeback, following her announcement that she’s producing her first album in nine years.
It’s now revealed that Rihanna quietly cancelled her planned performances at West Ham’s stadium in London during a private meeting last week, just on the brink of their official announcement.
As reported by The Sun, the singer feels that her fresh tunes aren’t quite polished yet, and record executives are making a determined effort to persuade her to reconsider their release.
A confidant close to the music industry revealed: ‘Rihanna hasn’t performed live in more than eight years, and the process of bringing her back on stage has been underway for at least three. Her desire to return was strong due to the obvious fan interest, but she became hesitant.’
It seems we’re not quite ready, and she shared unexpected news a week ago – she no longer wishes to proceed with the concerts scheduled for July, as initially planned.

The shows’ unveiling has been postponed, which may not come as a surprise to Rihanna’s followers, who are adept at enduring patience.
TopMob has contacted representatives for Rihanna for comment.
According to reports made to The Telegraph last month, it appears that Rihanna is planning performances at London Stadium on July 4th and 5th, with potential additional shows scheduled for the 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th of July.
Another source shared with the publication that the venue, which used to be the Olympic Stadium, is being kept ready by her organizers, and arrangements for her performance are currently being made ahead of time.
If the concerts had taken place, it would have marked Rihanna’s return to live performances after nearly a decade, following the release of her last album “Anti” in 2016.
In a recent chat with Harper’s Bazaar, the artist behind the Umbrella anthem officially announced that her ninth studio album is imminent.
She stirred excitement among her fans when she hinted that she had figured out the secret behind her upcoming creative project, stating that it feels perfectly fitting.
Rihanna expressed to the media, “‘The break from music must hold significance for whatever comes next. It should make an impact. I need to prove to them that the wait was worth it.

She enthusiastically expressed her high hopes for the new songs, conceding that they won’t conform to anyone’s expectations, thereby fueling even more curiosity.
She expressed: “It seems fitting. It resonates deeply where I should be, and I desire this outcome. This creation is yearning to emerge, and I am prepared for the journey.
The Barbadian pop sensation shared insights about her current recording process as a mother of two, admitting that she’s spent nearly the last eight years in the studio.
Rihanna has a son named RZA, who is two years old, and another son named Riot, who is 18 months old, with her partner, the rapper A$AP Rocky. Recently, A$AP Rocky was declared not guilty in a court trial concerning gun assault charges.
She confessed: “This is transforming into my fresh liberation. Since in the studio, I’m assured that my time separated from my children (RZA and Riot) is being utilized to cultivate something that hasn’t been nurtured for eight years.
Additionally, she mentioned that the process of discovering her fresh sound required some time since she desired her recent tunes to differ significantly from what listeners had heard from her in 2016.
Rihanna stated: “Initially, the idea didn’t come to me. Instead, I was actively seeking it out. I went through various stages trying to decide what type of album I wanted to create. ‘Not this kind of album’, I decided on more than one occasion, before finally settling on a different concept.
I understand that it won’t conform to typical expectations, and it certainly won’t appeal to mainstream audiences or commercial radio listeners.

This is the perfect place for my creativity to shine at this moment. I believe I’ve finally mastered it; I really feel like I’ve found the key, buddy!
Contrarily to ongoing speculations, the influential figure behind Fenty Beauty clarified that her upcoming LP would not be a reggae album.
She explained: ‘Currently, there’s no suitable genre for me. That’s why I delayed. Each time, I found myself thinking, “No, this isn’t fitting. This isn’t aligned with my development. This isn’t in harmony with my transformation. I can’t participate.”‘
I won’t settle for average work after such a long wait. So, it may be best to hold on a little longer.
