Ricky Hatton Sparks Reunion Rumors with Ex Claire Sweeney
Speculations are swirling that Ricky Hatton might have reignited his relationship with Claire Sweeney, two months following their separation.
Last year, a 46-year-old ex-boxer (who used to compete in matches) developed a romantic connection with Claire, a 53-year-old actress from Coronation Street, during their time on Dancing on Ice together.
However, the pair later went their separate ways, eight months after getting together.
Recently, there’s been talk about a possible reunion as Ricky posted an Instagram picture showing him with Claire.
It also saw radio presenter Peter Price join them in the social media snap.
Ricky labeled his old photo as: “Wishing a fantastic birthday to @petecityprice! May it be your best day ever, my friend. Lots of love, Ricky.

It comes after the pair called it quits on their relationship in December, TopMob revealed.
More recently, the pair called off their romance, having secretly dated following their participation in ITV’s Dancing On Ice and sharing a getaway to Tenerife in May.
However, following their summer vacation, the boxer and ex-Brookside actress have split up – a separation that occurred several months after Claire discussed their shared affinity for humor and their mutual appreciation of the TV sitcom, Only Fools and Horses.
Previously, they were photographed together on November 13 in Manchester, where they both attended a stage adaptation of the popular TV show that’s currently touring the UK. They were seen smiling alongside famous actors such as Paul Whitehouse after watching the show and taking pictures backstage.
Previously, Claire from Coronation Street shared that she and Ricky had been acquainted for 25 years prior to their feelings developing for each other. Meanwhile, the boxing champion found it pleasant that they could reconnect after both ended their previous relationships.
Claire remained unattached since splitting from her ex, Daniel Reilly, in 2017, who is Jaxon’s father. Similarly, Ricky was available as well, having parted ways with beauty specialist Angela Blemmings about two years back. They both were single at the time.
According to a source, Claire and Ricky continue to maintain their friendship, as there has been no rift or disagreement between them. They have mutually agreed that it’s best for them to be friends rather than romantic partners.
They had a great time together and they share many hobbies, but their daily routines and ways of life vary greatly.
Claire stands out as a major player on Coronation Street and is steadily advancing in her career, whereas Ricky is more spontaneous and unforeseeable.
Ricky has already started packing for a vacation in Tenerife, a place that feels like home to him. On the other hand, Claire is fully committed to her work, choosing to postpone romantic pursuits for now.

On the Lorraine show last July, Claire discussed her newfound romantic relationship with Ricky, which blossomed from their long-standing friendship spanning over 25 years.
She mentioned: ‘We often crossed paths at functions, we were both part of a TV show, I initially encountered him in La Manga during the early 2000s, afterwards we danced for Comic Relief in 2013, and later met again on Dancing On Ice. It’s been a pleasure.’
Ricky discovered love with Claire at a time he wasn’t anticipating, during his participation in Dancing On Ice last year.
The welterweight boxer clarified: “I didn’t join Dancing On Ice to seek romance, but rather, I hoped I wouldn’t hurt myself too badly.
For quite some time now, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Claire. Our paths have crossed at various gatherings and occasions across the years. Each encounter we’ve shared has resulted in a mutual connection that feels as if we’ve known each other for much longer.
‘Eventually, we both trained in Altrincham. Since Claire is from Liverpool and lives on Coronation Street, our training schedules often overlapped.’
In our ice skating training, we immediately connected. As the actual performance was in London, our bond grew even stronger.
