Ricky Gervais gives fans another glimpse inside his £14.5M Hampstead mansion after admitting it’s not his ‘forever home’
Ricky Gervais offered fans another glimpse of his £14.5million mansion in Hampstead on Monday.
Last year in March, the wealthy British comedian, valued at approximately £120 million, acquired a new mansion primarily because he wanted a larger garden.
On Instagram, Ricky proudly displayed his expansive, beautifully manicured garden boasting lush, well-kept lawns and thriving flower beds.
It also featured a carport for his luxurious car and a huge tennis court which took centre stage.
Next to the photo he wrote: ‘I played tennis once more today, it turned out quite hot. Additionally, those pesky little fox cubs have been tearing apart the net.’
Previously, Ricky tore out the old basketball court with the intention of constructing a tennis court instead. This change necessitated acquiring planning approval from the local government.

Additionally, he took out an old-fashioned waterfall, an eight-sided tower resembling a pagoda, and some supporting walls during a renovation project that had a similar feel to the popular home improvement show “Ground Force.
During a video blog on August Sunday evening, The Office actor openly shared that the house may not serve as their “permanent residence,” due to apprehensions from his partner Jane Fallon, aged 64, about them residing there during their eighties.
Ricky said: ‘I thought the last house was the one I was going to die in.
Although I didn’t meet my end, I yearned for a tennis court, which led us to relocate to a larger residence boasting a more expansive garden. This change was necessary to accommodate our new tennis court, and as soon as I saw it, I was thrilled. It still needs some finishing touches, but I already adore it.
Jane recently mentioned that she doesn’t think we can continue living in our current place once we turn 80, implying it’s a matter of time. Specifically, she pointed out the many stairs as her concern. Therefore, I understand that I will be moving when I reach that age.
He added: ‘But I said let’s not move let’s just move in a load of doctors, nurses and security.
I might benefit from having a small group residing within. This includes a chauffeur and a companion with whom I could enjoy a game of ping-pong, which I believe would enhance the situation significantly.
At the age of 80, finding myself back in this situation once more. I’d rather not dwell on it. Mainly, it was Jane who handled it.
or
In my eightieth year, here we go again. I’d rather not ponder over it. Primarily, it was Jane who took care of things.
Both versions convey the same idea and maintain a natural, easy-to-read style.

Over the past four decades, I’ve had the incredible fortune of following the extraordinary journey of Ricky and Jane – an unforgettable duo, if you ask me! For quite some time now, they’ve resided in a stunning £10.8m abode nestled within the charming heart of Hampstead, North London. But that’s not all! They also hold the keys to a riverside retreat in the picturesque town of Marlow, Bucks, and two luxurious apartments in the vibrant cityscape of New York.
The enormous house has nine bedrooms, among which is the master suite featuring walk-in wardrobes and two private baths, one for him and one for her.
This property features not only standard rooms but also a grand formal sitting room and dining area, an expansive combined kitchen and dining space, a bar and wine vault, along with a fitness center boasting a high ceiling.
The luxurious mansion contrasts somewhat with the couple’s first property they shared together.
In 2017, Ricky shared that our initial dwelling was a single room located in the gritty neighborhood of Kings Cross.
It seems that you were located over a questionable steam bath, as our budget only allowed for such an establishment. Our small sleeping area resided within this room. From the comfort of our bed, I had easy access to the refrigerator.
Ricky has significantly increased his wealth recently through a profitable exclusive agreement with the streaming behemoth Netflix, under which they broadcasted his most recent comedy show, “After Life.
His sold-out standup gigs, his latest called Mortality, are also linked with the streamer.

Additionally, earnings from the popular BBC sitcom The Office, co-written and produced by him alongside Stephen Merchant, saw an increase last year following the debut of its American remake.
The creator of the American adaptation featuring Steve Carell as the character similar to Ricky’s David Brent, Greg Daniels, is involved with this new project that started filming in July.
In an interview with GQ in 2013, Ricky noted that The Office and its adaptations have proven to be incredibly financially successful.
He said: ‘Yeah, [The Office US has earned me] more than anything else probably I’ve ever done.
‘It’s the gift that keeps on giving, syndication.’
