Richard Ramirez calls Satan a 'stabilizing force' in his life in chilling new clip

As a seasoned gamer and a connoisseur of true crime narratives, I must say, the upcoming docuseries, Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes, has piqued my interest significantly. Having played games like “Manhunt” and “Silent Hill,” where the villains are as terrifying as they come, it’s always intriguing to delve deeper into the real-life counterparts of such characters.

Prepare for a chilling new documentary series titled “Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes.” Forty years after his infamous crime spree terrorizing Los Angeles, this series is set to unveil. This captivating production boasts over 25 hours of prison recordings made directly from the notorious Richard Ramirez, aka “The Night Stalker.” Many of these audio tracks are previously unreleased, making for an intriguing two-part series that promises to reveal untold stories from Death Row.

Prior to the TV show’s debut on Tuesday, 10th December, Peacock has unveiled a special sneak peek in which Ramirez speaks about his connections with Satanism.

As a devout Christian during his youth, Ramirez held faith in God until he turned 18. However, in his mid-twenties, an encounter with a person led him astray from this belief and introduced him to the concept of Satan.

In my own words, I’d say: “Satan serves as a balancing element in my life, providing me with purpose and identity. It offers me a justification for my actions. I found myself aligned with the darkness that lies within humanity. That was who I became.” This reflects Ramirez’s statement on the recording, but spoken from a first-person perspective as a fan might interpret it.

In addition to recordings by Ramirez, the documentary will feature interviews with various relatives, friends, and even his wife. Additionally, some women affected by Ramirez over the years took part in this documentary, including his niece who shares her perspective for the first time. The tapes offer a unique insight into Ramirez’s life, delving into how his traumatic childhood and upbringing as a troubled youth in El Paso, Texas, contributed to him becoming one of history’s most notorious serial killers.

In 1985, Ramirez was captured dramatically during the summer after an enraged crowd pursued him through the streets and assisted the police in his arrest. This was following a series of murders he committed, resulting in at least 14 deaths. He was then sentenced to 19 death penalties in 1989, but he unfortunately died while still on Death Row in 2013.

“Richard Ramirez: Confessions of the Night Stalker” – This production comes from NBC News Studios, with executive producers being Amy Goodman Kass, Elizabeth Fischer, Alexa Danner, Liz Cole, and Andy Berg. The series is divided into two separate, one-hour segments.
