Richard Osman shares exciting Thursday Murder Club update
As a seasoned gamer of mysteries and whodunits, I can hardly contain my excitement for Richard Osman’s upcoming fifth installment in The Thursday Murder Club series! Having devoured the first four books and eagerly awaiting each new release, this news is like manna from heaven.
As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that our beloved Thursday Murder Club author, Richard Osman, has revealed he’s busy crafting book number five! He took to his social media platform to spread this exciting news. Can’t wait to delve into the next mystery they’ll unravel together!
Previously known as the host of “Pointless”, he recently posted on Instagram that he has begun working on the fifth installment of his murder mystery series.
As a seasoned writer with years of experience under my belt, I can attest to the truth behind the phrase “Every new book starts somewhere.” Each blank page, devoid of words, holds immense potential – it’s like standing at the edge of an uncharted land, ready to explore and conquer. The sight of a notepad with letters TTMC and the number 5 written at the top fills me with anticipation and excitement. I know that the journey ahead is filled with challenges and obstacles, but also with the joy of creation and the satisfaction of bringing a story to life. So, here’s to the blank pages, the unknown, and the boundless possibilities they hold for us writers!
Supporters rushed to comment, praising Osman. One individual exclaimed: “Yes indeed!!! This brings me such joy. I’ve read everything so far. The film was thrilling, and this news just adds to my excitement!!!”
At the moment, a Netflix production is underway for a movie based on the initial book in the series, with Chris Columbus, known for directing “Home Alone”, at the helm of the project.
Four retired residents of Coopers Chase Retirement Village, now detective duo, will be portrayed by Helen Mirren (Elizabeth), Pierce Brosnan (Ron), Sir Ben Kingsley (Ibrahim) and Celia Imrie (Joyce). These talented actors have recently shared some initial photos in their costumes.
Completing the ensemble are Jonathan Pryce portraying Elizabeth’s spouse, Stephen, and Richard E. Grant stepping into the role of the antagonist. Simultaneously, Naomi Ackie and Sarah Niles take on the characters of Donna and Donna’s mother Patrice, respectively.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that David Tennant, Danny Mays, and Henry Lloyd-Hughes will be joining an upcoming project, although their roles remain undisclosed for now. Joining them is none other than Tom Ellis, famously known for his role in Lucifer. Also on board are Geoff Bell and Paul Freeman. Can’t wait to see what this exciting cast has in store!
Just last month, Osman announced that his wife, Ingrid Oliver, had become a part of the project, taking on the role of Joyce’s daughter named Joanna.
“The Thursday Murder Club is the debut crime novel by its author, and it was published in the year 2020. In this initial story, we follow a group of four detectives as they delve into the mystery surrounding the murder of a real estate tycoon.”
The Thursday Murder Club movie does not yet have a release date.
