Richard Osman expresses that his towering 6 feet 7 inches stature appears most appealing to him in its natural state, following statements where he expressed discomfort about being criticized for his height.

54-year-old renowned writer and television host openly shared that ever since he towered above others at the age of 17, he has experienced feelings of unease and embarrassment when drawing attention to himself in public. However, he added with a touch of humor, he finds his lanky frame quite acceptable when devoid of clothing.

He admitted his height and humour meant he did well with girls despite being shy.

In a more conversational style, the sentence could be rephrased as follows: “I’ve never been terrible, but not exactly outstanding either, in that specific field. I was quite timid, yet I had a knack for making people laugh.

However, I’ve often felt unattractive. My self-perception was quite low, and when I look back at old photos, I can’t help but think, “Wow, I looked fantastic! I was so attractive.

‘But at the time you’re just thinking “This is awful”. Being funny is an enormous help.

On the Rosebud podcast, when asked about his initial feelings about being seen naked, Osman, a father of two and husband to Ingrid Oliver, responded: “I’d have to agree, being tall certainly isn’t unattractive in the nude.

In the context of a tube or a similar setting, it appears quite out of place. However, when placed within its appropriate surroundings, such as a room, everything seems to harmonize and make sense.

Osman has previously told how he became accustomed to daily comments about being so tall.

This week, Richard made an appearance on the podcast, coinciding with sightings of him with his wife, Ingrid Oliver, at Wimbledon.

During the pandemic, this couple was spotted strolling together, hand-in-hand, across the beautiful grounds of a renowned tennis club, showing affectionate glimpses of their relationship.

Richard stood taller than his diminutive companion, both clothed in a pastel pink suit. He accessorized with a vertical-striped tie and shirt, brown footwear, and his signature black eyewear, thereby finishing the ensemble.

Ingrid, aged 48, was also aiming to make an impression, wearing a white blouse and pink pants, and completing her outfit with a beige belt as an accessory.

She finished off her appearance with stylish-appearing white sneakers, enhancing her elegance with a golden pendant and dot-patterned earrings in white.

Richard and Ingrid got married in 2023, a year filled with love and joviality as Richard put it, exactly three years following their first encounter during the pandemic.

In 2011, Richard went through a challenging divorce from his first spouse, who is the mother of his two kids. However, by 2023, he was overflowing with praise for his new romantic interest, as evident in an appearance on Desert Island Discs.

‘I’m happy with myself,’ the Pointless star said. 

‘I’ve got these beautiful kids, I’ve met the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.

You’ll soon discover that the pursuit of accomplishment and ambition is more about finding happiness, and my children and Ingrid are sources of that joy for me.

Ingrid is primarily recognized for her portrayal of Petronella Osgood on the series Doctor Who, and she has also appeared in her spouse’s program titled House of Games.

Richard has two children, Ruby, 27, and Sonny, 25. 

The fifth installment, ‘The Unattainable Wealth,’ in Richard’s Thursday Murder Club sequence, is set for release on September 25.
