Richard Marx’s cringeworthy red carpet moment caught on camera as he arrives at the 2025 Logie Awards

Richard Marx has been caught in an awkward moment at the 2025 Logie Awards

This year’s international performing artist from America, aged 61, accompanied by his wife Daisy Fuentes, made their way to The Star in Sydney on Sunday, preparing for their upcoming performance.

Richard exuded elegance in a stylish navy-blue suit paired with a complementing sky-blue tie, contrasting beautifully with Daisy who was radiantly stunning in a captivating black-and-white polka-dot dress.

Yet, following my walk on the crimson carpet, I caught a moment that made me wince – the Hazard hitmaker, in an unexpected turn, was seen filming for a Glambot video.

In a video obtained solely by Daily Mail, Richard was spotted deeply engaged in a loving hug with his spouse. He held her close to him, their focus fixed on each other.

While they were patiently waiting for the Glambot to begin filming, the situation became progressively uneasy as time went on.

Ultimately, the cameraman granted permission for the pair, who then touched their foreheads together and embraced, facing the camera afterwards.

Or, more colloquially: In the end, the cameraman let them proceed, so they shared a moment by touching foreheads, followed by a warm hug on camera.

Last week, it was announced that Richard will be the entertainer for this year’s Logies, where he’ll share the stage with one of our own.

The globally acclaimed singer known for selling 30 million albums worldwide and famous for ’80s chart-toppers like What About Me? and Right Here Waiting, is set to perform a mix of his timeless hits together with native sensation Guy Sebastian. In addition, Sebastian will showcase his latest track titled Get It Done during the performance.

After the recent announcement, Richard shared a statement expressing that his enthusiastic Australian fans have motivated him to deliver an exceptional show for his Logies performance this year.

He noted that Australians have consistently shown great enthusiasm for my music, and they’ve infused my concerts with their vibrant and contagious spirit throughout the years.

It’s an honor to take part in Australian TV’s grandest evening of festivities. I’m eagerly looking forward to presenting a unique, memorable performance for both the audience at home and those attending the event.

Additionally, Jimmy Barnes, an adored Australian rock artist, will be gracing the stage as the main act, performing a collection of hits that span over four decades and are cherished by fans.

Jimmy, boasting 21 top-charting albums and an esteemed spot in the ARIA Hall of Fame, expressed his eagerness to kickstart the festivities at this year’s awards event.

‘I am excited about playing at the Logies, television’s big night of nights,’ the 69-year-old said.

Let’s take this opportunity to honor the amazing skillset within Australian TV, and crank up some rock’n’roll tunes to make the celebration lively!

Richard, Guy, and Jimmy will be accompanied by some notable figures like Kitty Flanagan, Hamish Blake, and Leigh Sales. These presenters are among those predicted to captivate the audience.

It has also been revealed that Sam Pang will host the event for the third time.

As a devoted admirer, I can confidently say that the witty and unconventional humor Sam displayed as the host last year, along with his upcoming performances in 2023, has been a resounding success among viewers and TV’s elite. Additionally, it has proven to be an impressive ratings booster for Seven.

Sam shared with The Herald Sun that it has been a privilege to host the past two years, and he is excited to once more applaud the gifted individuals and outstanding programs that contribute to an Australian television industry we can all take pride in.

‘I am very excited to return for another Logies and would like to thank Seven for asking me back.’
