In the film “Killer Heat“, Madden portrays both Leo and Elias Vardakis, who are identical twins, becoming entangled in a deadly love triangle.
Upon the unexpected death of one brother, his sister-in-law Penelope, played by Shailene Woodley, brings in private investigator Nick Bali, who is not from town, to look into the matter.
Nick finds himself swiftly immersed in a high-stakes game of intrigue and deceit as he struggles to uncover the truth within the Vardakis family.
“Everybody’s jealous of somebody,” Nick points out at one point in the trailer.

The screenplay, based on the short story “The Jealousy Man” by renowned crime novelist Jo Nesbø, is being brought to life for the big screen by Roberto Bentivegna, who was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award (for House of Gucci), and Matt Charman, an Academy Award nominee (Bridge of Spies).
