Known for blockbuster movies such as 2023’s ‘Hit Man’, ‘A Scanner Darkly’, and ‘School of Rock’, he stands out among indie filmmakers, having directed classics like ‘Slacker’ and ‘Dazed and Confused’. His upcoming project, ‘Nouvelle Vague’, returns him to his modest production beginnings. However, the independent nature of this film has been called into question, as it was recently acquired by the leading streaming giant – Netflix.
