As a die-hard fan who has grown up with their antics and laughter, it’s hard to put into words just how much Richard Hammond’s emotional farewell resonates with me. For 22 years, Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard have been an integral part of my life, entertaining me, educating me, and making me laugh until I cried.

Richard Hammond has mentioned that he will be emotionally stirred, almost to the point of tears, each day as he readies himself to part ways with Jeremy Clarkson and James May.

The thrilling threesome plans to unveil “The Grand Tour: One for the Road” on September 13, marking the end of their 21-year professional collaboration that started with their time on Top Gear.

On a recent interview on Monday’s This Morning prior to the last episode, Richard confessed that he was finding it hard to grasp the fact that it was ending.

Accompanied by co-hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, he reminisced about his time on Top Gear, stating: ‘It took off like a rocket and we didn’t anticipate it would spiral out of hand. It still feels quite surreal to me; I can’t seem to grasp it.’

For the past 22 years, it’s been due to that strategic alliance that I’ve been able to carry on with my work. I owe a debt of gratitude that will last a lifetime to Jeremy and James.

Richard went on to say: “I haven’t fully processed it yet. I believe that six months from now, I’ll start every day by shedding tears.

Upon securing the job, I was thirty-one years old. Overwhelmed with emotion, I couldn’t help but shed tears as soon as they offered me the position. I turned to my wife and exclaimed, “This job will transform everything for us,” and indeed, it brought significant changes into our lives.

Prime Video has unveiled a first look at the final episode of The Grand Tour: One For The Road.

The first look snaps reveal emotional Grand Tour stars Jeremy, 64, Richard, 54, and James, 61, uniting for one last time and sharing their last moments together after gracing television screens as a trio for the last 22 years.

In the recent escapade, viewers will find Jeremy, Richard, and James disregarding Mr. Wilman’s guidance and embarking on a journey to Zimbabwe using three vehicles they’ve long desired.

As your go-to lifestyle guide, I’m excited to share an unforgettable adventure that lies ahead! I’ll be joining a trio on a breathtaking road trip, traversing stunning and challenging landscapes in three iconic classic cars – a Lancia Montecarlo, a Ford Capri 3-litre, and a Triumph Stag. This journey is set to unfold across various episodes, culminating in a heartfelt finale on an island that feels eerily familiar. Buckle up for an extraordinary ride!

At a quick glance, you can see the trio laughing together by a cozy campfire, taking sips from a few beers while unwinding peacefully near a breathtaking lake.

In another photo, Jeremy is seen sharing a laugh with Richard during a brief pause from their driving activities.

andy wilman, a veteran producer, shared at the Edinburgh TV Festival that the process of filming this particular episode was quite emotional and tugged at one’s heartstrings.

Wilman explained that they felt it was time to wrap up the global phenomenon, saying, “We feel it’s reached a point where we’ve had enough. Additionally, we want to bring everything to a close on our own terms. It needed to end, and we wanted to be the ones who made that decision.

The final installment was filmed in September of the previous year. This upcoming episode will bring the hosts back to Kubu Island, Botswana – a place where they initially shot their inaugural special. Wilman characterized it as “deliberately soft” because the main cast wished to revert to fundamental aspects.

He said: ‘They wanted to go “unplugged”. We wanted to go back to 2005, leave the dynamite at home, we will go with s*** old cars. They give you more TV than modern new cars, they give you more stories, more laughs. So they wanted evocative cars that they adore and they wanted to be in Africa. It is the favourite continent we ever filmed in.’

The producer remarked, “Their teamwork is exceptional, and it’s apparent that they understand this might be their final performance together.

The threesome are behind the wheel of their long-desired vehicles: a Lancia Montecarlo, a Ford Capri 3.0L, and a Triumph Stag.

In a brief, initial video segment, at the wheel of his vehicle, Clarkson, aged 64, gazes into the camera with emotion, and remarks: ‘And one final time, let’s get moving.’

Slides on the screen read: ‘After 22 years, the end has finally come.’

On September 13th, The Grand Tour: One For The Road will make its debut, available only on Amazon Prime Video across more than 240 nations.
