Richard Hammond and wife announce end of marriage after 28 years together
Richard Hammond has announced that he and wife Mindy have ended their marriage after 23 years.
Today (January 9), the presenter of The Grand Tour and Top Gear announced on their Twitter post that they had experienced an “incredible” nearly three-decade long bond.
Just wanted to share some news: this past Christmas, we spent it as a family, and this year too, we’ll remain a family, albeit with a slightly different arrangement.
Our union is drawing to a close, yet we’ve shared an extraordinary 28 years and welcomed two remarkable daughters into the world. Regardless of our separation, we remain intertwined and take great pride in the wonderful family we have built together.
Richard and Mindy are choosing not to say more on the subject for now. They kindly ask for respect regarding their personal and their children’s privacy during this time. Warmest Regards, Richard and Mindy.
The duo has two daughters – Isabelle, who Richard showcases on YouTube’s DriveTribe, and Willow.
This year, Richard appeared in his last episode on The Grand Tour, which was called “One for the Road,” alongside co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and James May.
Nonetheless, the Prime Video series plans to proceed with fresh hosts, as stated by Richard to Metro last year: “It’s going to persist.
The journey of “The Grand Tour” carries on. As we step back from our hosting roles, Prime will take over. Frankly, I can’t wait to be an audience member myself and enjoy watching someone else navigate through the adventure. It’s truly a spectacle!
After wrapping up my stint on the series back in September, I’ve got an exciting update! My company, The Smallest Cog, is embarking on a fresh car restoration project involving two iconic vehicles from the show. Can’t wait to share more details soon!
