Alejandra Silva is rejoicing that her husband, Richard Gere, is celebrating his first Father’s Day as a father in Spain, following their move from the United States to her homeland.

On a Wednesday, the public figure and activist shared a collection of seldom-seen family pictures on Instagram, celebrating her spouse for Father’s Day, which falls on March 19, marking the celebration of St. Joseph.

Recently relocated to Madrid, this pair was frequently spotted enjoying time with their sons. In one picture, the renowned actor is seen bending to greet Alexander (age 6), James (4), and Albert (12), children they share with ex-husband Govind Friedland.

She additionally penned a note saying, ‘Celebrating the first Spanish Father’s Day! We adore you!’ while using the hashtags: ‘#FathersDay #Father’sDayInSpanish.’

There’s also a couple of photos of the happy couple frolicking on a beach with Alexander and James.

Among the pictures, one partially catches the scene of a couple embracing waist-deep in water, whereas another depicts all four of them sprinting together along the beachfront.

On Instagram Story, the delighted mom shared a sweet picture of drawings made by their youngest sons, created especially for their father on his special occasion.

‘Happy Father’s Day!’ Silva, 42, wrote alongside the cute drawings of their family.

Besides his three younger sons, the actor famous for Pretty Women, now 75 years old, also has a 24-year-old son named Homer, who he shares with his second spouse, Carey Lowell.

He was also previously married to supermodel legend Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995. 

In 2018, Gere and Silva got married and recently, around November of last year, they decided to relocate to Spain, partly due to humanitarian concerns.

In a January interview with ELLE España, the former Vice President of Real Madrid Football Club stated that the sole purpose for both him and I are present in Madrid is to join the board of the NGO Hogar Sí.

Our aim is to eradicate homelessness in this nation within the next five years, ensuring that everyone has a safe place to rest at night.

They additionally disclosed their decision to cross the Atlantic was driven by the desire to bring Silva nearer to her family and cultural roots, as they had resided together in the United States for a span of seven years.

Silva continued to praise Gerre for his parenting abilities, noting that it’s impressive how well he’s adjusted to their new family lifestyle in Spain, following the sale of their $10.75 million estate in Connecticut.

‘Richard is incredibly devoted and always there for his children,’ she exclaimed. ‘He enjoys reading them stories, and it truly appears as if we’re in a perfect scene. However, it’s genuinely accurate. He’s an outstanding father. Cooking isn’t his strong suit; I usually handle that. But when I cook, he entertains by playing the guitar.’

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gere admitted feeling a fresh sense of satisfaction after moving, as they shared during their recent joint interview a few months back.

‘Right now, you’re catching us in our best moments. We’ve never been happier,’ expressing that her happiness makes her feel joyful as well. [Alejandra] refers to herself, and ‘I’ is the speaker.
