Richard Gere, 76, and glamorous wife Alejandra Silva, 42, look besotted as they cuddle up on the red carpet at the ELLE Eco Awards in Madrid

Richard Gere and his wife, Alejandra Silva, shared a loving moment together on the red carpet at an event in Madrid on Wednesday, gazing at each other affectionately.

The 76-year-old Hollywood actor looked sharp in a navy suit. He shares two young sons, six-year-old Alexander and five-year-old James, with his 42-year-old Spanish partner.

Richard, a father to 25-year-old Homer with his former wife Carey Lowell, neatly combed back his silver hair and wore a tailored blazer over a white shirt.

Alejandra looked very glamorous as she slipped into a black floor-length gown for the event.

She accessorised with a gorgeous of diamond earrings and a bracelet to match.

Richard and Alejandra appeared deeply in love at the ELLE Eco Awards, with Richard affectionately putting his arm around her in multiple photos taken at the event held at the Italian Consulate.

Richard and Alejandra were playfully affectionate, with the activist leaning in and playfully peering at Richard’s phone while they joked around.

The couple attended the Madrid premiere of their short film, What Nobody Wants To See, on Monday night.

The couple, who got married in 2018 and recently moved to Spain, created a new film designed to help people better understand and care about those experiencing homelessness.

Richard looked as handsome as ever in a navy suit at the event. His wife was effortlessly stylish in a black tuxedo with satin details.

As a little trick I love, she instantly looked taller and more polished by adding strappy heels. And the finishing touch? A gorgeous pair of diamond pendant earrings – sometimes it’s those delicate details that really elevate a look!

Earlier this year, Richard shared a rare photo of his youngest sons, posing with his wife for a heartwarming snapshot.

The actor known for Pretty Woman was photographed with his family and used the opportunity to support Open Arms, a non-profit organization.

I just loved this recent photo of Richard and Silva! They were all wearing coordinating grey hoodies – even their two sons. It was so cute how the boys had their backs to the camera, really highlighting the design on the sweatshirts!

Richard wrote in the post’s caption: ‘Our whole family proudly supports @openarms_fund and their life-saving work. Shoutout to @alejandragere!’

Richard has volunteered with the charity for many years, and in 2019, he was aboard an Open Arms rescue ship in the Mediterranean Sea.

He helped bring supplies to the 121 migrants on board, who at the time had fled war-torn Libya.

In a previous interview with The Guardian, Richard talked about why he chose to approach the boat and help out.

He said he was greatly inspired by Open Arms and strongly agreed with their perspective on the universe.

They’re working directly with the people involved, which is the best way to get accurate information. They emphasized the situation was very serious, not just for them, but for all the rescue teams as well.

The actor explained that he reacted immediately. “I knew I had to go see it for myself,” he said. He quickly got in a car and was at the Rome airport in just five minutes.

Earlier this year, in January, Richard and Alejandra shared with Elle España details about their decision to move from the United States to Spain.

The Hollywood star shared that they’re currently experiencing a really positive and exciting time in their lives, and they’ve never been happier.

She excitedly described them as soulmates, explaining they share the same beliefs and worldview. She said they instantly felt a deep connection, like they’d known each other forever, and suggested such a strong connection is incredibly rare.
