As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the Venice Film Festival is always an event to look forward to. The glitz, the glamour, and the star-studded lineup never fail to impress. This year’s edition seems particularly exciting, with Richard Gere gracing the red carpet with his son Homer and wife Alejandra Silva.

At the amfAR Gala Venezia 2024 held on a Sunday, Richard Gere was accompanied by his son Homer and his charming spouse, Alejandra Silva.

At the Hangar Nicelli event, both the 75-year-old actor and his 24-year-old son were equally stylish as they strolled down the red carpet together.

Richard opted for a black tuxedo, white shirt and a black bow tie, with Homer matching his outfit.

Simultaneously, Alejandra, aged 41, who tied the knot with the celebrity in 2018, turned heads in a partially see-through mesh dress adorned with navy floral patterns.

During the electrifying Venice Film Festival, I had the privilege of attending a dazzling event – none other than the Red Sea International Film Festival gala that they graciously hosted!

After a two-year courtship, the movie legend and Alejandra exchanged vows, and subsequently became parents to Alexander, who is now five, and James, aged four.

Richard chose to bestow the name Homer upon his ex-wife Carey Lowell, a model, and also gave him the middle name Jigme in honor of his grandfathers.

He and Carey married in 2002 but later separated in 2013 after 11 years of marriage.

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice opened the Venice Film Festival on August 28.

2024 marks the date for the 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival, a prestigious event organized by La Biennale di Venezia. The festival will take place on the Lido di Venezia from the 28th of August to the 7th of September that year.

Besides the stars of Beetlejuice, a number of high-profile actors are anticipated to arrive in Venice during the next few days.

George Clooney and his wife Amal have arrived in town ahead of the premiere of their highly-anticipated film, “Wolves,” directed by Jon Watts. This upcoming movie brings George back together with his “Ocean’s Eleven” co-star, Brad Pitt.

Both George and Brad will be attendance at the September 1 screening.

Brad’s former spouse, Angelina Jolie, will also be present in Venice for the promotion of the movie titled “Maria.” In this film, she portrays the legendary opera figure, Maria Callas.

Reports show that the schedules have been carefully planned to ensure that the divorced couple, still involved in an ongoing legal battle for eight years now, won’t attend the film festival simultaneously.

On September 4, another significant movie debut is set to take place: the sequel “Joker: Folie à Deux” on the red carpet at Venice. Stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga will make their appearance.

Daniel Craig is also scheduled to attend the festival as he promotes his film “Queer,” set to screen on September 3.

In Venice, regulars Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton are currently present for Pedro Almodóvar’s first film in English titled “The Room Next Door”, while Nicole Kidman will be showcasing her erotic thriller “Babygirl” on the 30th of August.

Pupi Avati’s The American Backyard will close the festival on September 7.
