Richard Armitage’s disaster thriller is now on Prime Video
Now available on Prime Video, the action-packed disaster thriller, Into the Storm, featuring Richard Armitage and Sarah Wayne Callies.
2014’s movie features Armitage, known for his roles in “The Hobbit” trilogy and “Fool Me Once,” portraying Gary Fuller, a vice principal at an Oklahoma high school that becomes the focal point amidst a barrage of tornadoes.
More than ten years after its initial launch, the previously missing feature has recently been incorporated into the streaming library of Amazon Prime Video in both the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Besides Armitage and Callies (the character portraying meteorologist Allison Stone), the ensemble also features Matt Walsh, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Arlan Escarpeta.
Or simply:
Armitage and Callies, who plays meteorologist Allison Stone, are joined by Matt Walsh, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Arlan Escarpeta in the cast.
In this version, Steven Quale, a former collaborator of James Cameron, was the one responsible for directing the movie. The script was penned by John Swetnam.
Armitage recently hinted at the specifics of his upcoming project with Harlan Coben. The novel, titled “Missing You,” revolves around a detective (Rosalind Eleazar) whose life is disrupted when her past fiancé (Ashley Walters) reappears after being missing for 11 years.
As a gamer, I’d say it like this: “You guys should definitely keep an eye on my detective character, Ellis Stagger. Working with this kind of storyline is thrilling because every character has their own hidden agenda or secret they’re clinging to. It’s all about unraveling the mystery!
It seems to me that Stagger has been associated with his service for eleven years. He and Clint (portrayed by Lenny Henry) were peers who rose through the ranks together in their career.
In the initial episode, once you understand his plight and notice how it’s reflected in his daughter who collaborates with Stagger, it becomes clear that some underlying situation or secret is at play.
Apart from that, Armitage hinted at a storyline reminiscent of a pressure cooker, gradually intensifying across the Netflix show. He further mentioned, “The kind of secrets this character needs to conceal were so intriguing and suspenseful to me – I thought the simmering pressure cooker would make for an engaging and thrilling watch.
Into the Storm is available to stream on Prime Video. Missing You is streaming on Netflix.
